The Memory Walk & Jog aims to raise important funds for support & research into dementia. Held on Sunday 24th of May, in Cathy Freeman Park Homebush, this event for the whole family offers 3 races, kicking off at 8.40am with the 10km run, followed by the 5km, and a 2.5km walk. Even if vou haven't actually run, even if you're overweight even if you were always the kid picked last in gym class, even if vou're clumsy, even if you don't own a single piece of fitness equipment, vou ARE a runner. You don't have to run fast to be a runner. You don't have to be skinnv to be a runner. You don't have to run marathons to be a runner. You only have to want to run. Take vour first step along your path to iovful running right now bv writing down al the reasons vou can't run, can't be fit, and can't possibly become an athlete. Then crumple up that list with all the force vou can muster and toss it in the garbage. Not the garbage bin in your kitchen, where you can get it back out and try on those 'can'ts' again for size, but in the dumpster on the street. Throw away those can'ts.
