SOPA launched our Duke4Sport program endorsed by Office of Sport NSW. We invite schools offering Duke of Ed to try archery at our club. Friendly assessors with archery coaching certifications will be providing the 12 weeks program- Mastering the Bow.

The Lend A Hand program is for DoE students pursing their volunteer section. For more information please check out on the details.

Reminder to register in Assemble for the SOPA CUP round 8 this Saturday, 29 August. This is an AA registered event if you need QRE scores or would like to qualify for the ANSW state team for Target Nationals. Great practice for matchplay as well. Registration closes 5pm this Thursday, 27 August 2026.

SOPA Challenge #2 - a fun, social and inclusive multiclass event shooting indoor format at an outdoor setting. The challenge for the day is of course the rain and shooting "indoor" but the game itself is the challenge of SOPA's Archery Escape Room - Time Challenge game.

🎯 **ARE YOU READY FOR SOPA CHALLENGE 2?** 🎯

Archers, assemble! It’s time to step up to the shooting line for **SOPA Challenge 2**—and this isn’t your average tournament.

We’re bringing the archery community together for an action-packed **Multiclass event**!

This is the perfect event if you want to practice for the State/National Indoor Championships, compete and have fun.

Whether you’re competing across Recurve, Compound, Barebow, or Longbow across divisions, this is your chance to test your precision, and shoot alongside top talent.

❓ **The Mystery Challenge await...**

We’ll be running the standard WA Indoor Archery format—18 meters for ranking round. Then archers will be assigned to 4 x divisions based on their scores. This means you will be competing with archers within your level for an exciting Mystery Challenge twist revealed on the day! 🧠⚡

Will it test your adaptability? Your speed? Your clutch shot pressure? You’ll have to be on the shooting line to find out!

1st, 2nd and 3rd medals will be awarded for each division.

🎯 **ARCHERY NSW STATE SHORT COURSE CHAMPIONSHIPS 2026: A HISTORIC WEEKEND!** 🏹✨

What an absolutely spectacular weekend of archery! The energy at the range was unmatched as we celebrated not just incredible sportsmanship, but a massive leap forward for our sport in New South Wales.

This year, Sydney Olympic Park Archers (SOPA) achieved a truly remarkable new milestone, welcoming a record-breaking **128 archers** to the line! Seeing our community grow to this scale is a testament to the passion, dedication, and hard work of everyone involved.

But the milestones didn't stop there. 🌟 History was made this weekend with the official launch of our **inaugural Multiclass State Event**! This marks a major step forward in creating a truly accessible, diverse, and competitive pathway for all archers.

We were incredibly honored to have Melissa Backhouse, Director of Sector Performance from the Office of Sport, join us to officially open the championships.

A special thank you to Melissa for her inspiring words and for congratulating SOPA on our inclusive strategy. We are incredibly proud to lead the way in making archery a sport where everyone truly belongs. 🤝❤️
