What a way to finish our 2025/26 competition season!

Over four huge days, 25 RDS dancers took to the stage with more than 25 routines, achieving an incredible:

🏆 10 x 1st Places
🥈 10 x 2nd Places
🥉 4 x 3rd Places
⭐ 3 x Highly Commended Awards

While we’re proud of the results, we’re even prouder of the way our dancers supported one another, performed with confidence and represented RDS both on and off the stage.

A huge thank you to Tanya and the Front & Centre team for another fantastic competition, and to Millie, Liz and our friends at Dillmac for the warm welcome and fun-filled weekend as always.

Thank you to all of our dancers, teachers and families for an amazing season. We couldn’t be prouder of everything you’ve achieved this year! ❤️🖤🤍

Viewing Week is here as we wrap up Term 2!
Families are invited to pop in for the last 20 minutes of your child’s class to see how our concert dances are coming along.

Please remember:
• Enter quietly and avoid distracting the dancers
• Take a seat along the stage side of the main studio or the blue seats at the back of the front room
• Siblings must remain seated or in the pram the entire time
• Due to our child safe policies, filming of students is not permitted

🧸❄️ PYJAMA WEEK IS COMING! ❄️🧸

To celebrate the final week of Term 2, we’ll be having Pyjama Week at RDS from Monday 22 June – Thursday 25 June!

All dancers are encouraged to wear their favourite winter PJs and a beanie to class and bring along a gold coin donation to support Beanies for Brain Cancer. 💛

Let’s finish the term with lots of fun, plenty of cosy vibes, and support for a fantastic cause. We can’t wait to see everyone’s cutest pyjamas and beanies!

✨ BIG CONGRATS TO SHERIDAN! ✨

We are so excited to share that our advanced dancer and student teacher Sheridan has been accepted into the full-time Performing Arts course at Ministry of Dance for 2027!

Following a successful private audition, Sheridan received the exciting news that she had secured her place for next year.

Sheridan has been a dedicated member of the RDS family for many years, and we are incredibly proud of the commitment, determination, and passion she brings to everything she does. Whether she’s in the studio, on stage, or assisting in classes as a student teacher, she always leads with enthusiasm and kindness.

This exciting opportunity is a testament to Sheridan’s hard work and dedication to her training, and we know she has a bright future ahead of her.

Congratulations, Sheridan! We are so proud of you and can’t wait to see where this next chapter takes you. ❤️🖤🤍

Just a moment to say a huge thank you to Karissa and the Swan Hill Theatre Group for generously allowing us to hire the costumes for our Junior Competition Team's Annie routine this season.

The costumes have been absolutely perfect, and every competition adjudicator has commented on how well they suit the routine and bring the story to life on stage!

🚨 TONIGHT'S CLASSES CANCELLED 🚨

Unfortunately, due to illness, tonight's Senior and Advanced Jazz and Hip Hop classes (4:00pm–8:00pm) have been cancelled.

Both Kaiti and Jaimee are currently unwell, and unfortunately the teachers who would normally step in to cover classes are also sick. We are usually very lucky to be able to support one another and keep classes running, but this is one of those rare occasions where we all need some time at home to rest and recover.

We are so sorry for the inconvenience and thank all of our dancers and families for their understanding.

We can't wait to see everyone back in the studio next week! ❤️🖤🤍
