Now to wrap our winter sledding season with a few images from the trails of Kowen Forest where we attended the CSDC 30th Anniversary Sprint race.
So much fun and some great results for our teams and good friends who ran a couple of our kids for us in the very competitive Veterans Class!!!

It was a super end to another amazing weekend away with our awesome team of dogs at the last race of the season for us Canberra Sled Dog Club 30th Anniversary Race in Kowen Forest.
This time it was the sisters turn with Puffy and Sky bringing the goods to finish🥇in the 2-dog Touring Class with Heath along for the ride.
Congratulations also to their mum Logic who partnered Gizz and Margaret Arcus on their🥇place finish in the 2-dog Veteran Class. And to Ali Staniforth for taking Rowdy (at 11.5yrs) out with Nakita and coming home in 4th place behind Marg - super effort 🖤
Both Rob (7th) and Soph (9th) had some very solid runs in a competitive 2-dog Open Class.
It was certainly a very memorable weekend and big congrats to the CSDC crew on all their hard work and to Black Hawk Pet Care for sponsoring an awesome sledding event!!!!

Our favourite part of when we are away with our dogs racing we love catching up with sledding buddy’s and community from across Australia.
But it’s sometimes more than that. There’s the other people you meet along the way, through the dogs, and it might be only just for a short time over a few days in the course of a year but the time you spend talking about what we do and the dogs and in general certainly keeps you connected.
This year, whilst sadly only very brief, we were finally able to catch up with a family we met a few years ago at Dinner Plain when the dogs were all out on stakeout line - they had been watching us through their chalet window getting the dogs in and out, and then they decided to come over to play, pat and learn about the dogs….then I think pretty much every afternoon we were there, then the following year again the same, and we even roped Lyndall into handling for us.
On our first meeting we had some young puppies, they also had some young kids.
It was by chance that we had the same ‘puppies’ with us this year and we could do a ‘then and now’ photo each ❤️
Hopefully here’s to more time next year and maybe a cameo handler role Lyndall Pratt!!!!
(Ps thankyou for also managing to walk Crashy for us, picking up some 💩 and oh, helping with the chains on the trailer yesterday!!! You rock!!!)
