I've been around bikes all my life. I have a genuine passion for riding and I love seeing people on their bikes having a great time, whether it's for training, racing or general health. Riding is awesome - it's a sport everyone can enjoy, no matter the age, fitness or gender. I began "Your Cycle Mechanic" by accident in 2014, when I was servicing bikes for friends (and friends of friends) who'd h

ad terrible experiences with getting a quality & speedy bike service. I decided to go full time when I realised that there was a major problem that I could solve; bike shops are busy selling bikes and don't put the care and attention to detail that is required to properly care for a bike, be it a road, mountain, time trial or track bike. In 2015 I was Head Mechanic for National Road Series (NRS) Team, Holden Women's Racing and regularly service European Pros when vising for the Australian Summer.

While I was in Osaka Japan a few weeks back on holidays. I made a stop by Shimano Square. They have a very nice display containing the generations of Shimano products.

I met one of their workers who gave a mini tour and got me to even jump on the Zwift set up that they had. Thank you Kensuke Asano.

Would have loved to fit more parts into my holiday, but it was a jam packed 3 weeks.

The shop will be running at a lower capacity for the next month/ until my doctor gives me the all-clear to get back to work.

On Saturday the 8th of March, I was struck by a truck door while riding to the Cronulla Crits. Suffering 5 broken ribs, bruising, and grazes. Luckily, my helmet saved me from any major concussion.

This is just a speed bump, and we will be back in full swing soon, fixing up your bikes and getting them to the best possible working condition!
