The field was a little damp after some light rain but the girls were still buzzing to get out and give it their best!

The teamwork the girls continue to show week to week proves they are all enjoying themselves whilst showcasing their newfound skills in both attack and defence.

Tries of the match went to Addilyn Drummond, Frankie Hutchinson, Yanirah Matson & Willow Hammond Scoring her first try of the season!

A big congratulations goes out to Ladies League Tag player Sarah Coyte on her selection in the Group 7 Bulls rep squad. Unfortunately they went down 14 - 10 in the last few seconds of the game earlier today. Well done Sarah, we are so proud of you. You play with heart and grit every time you step on the field. Your selection in the squad was well deserved.
A special shout out to her sister Rebecca who was also selected, but was unable to play as she is currently sidelined with an injury. We hope your back on the field soon Bec.
Congratulations girls, the club is extremely proud of you both šŸˆšŸ¾

Hello Community,

We are asking you all to rally for our footy club and our community please.

Council have marked the playground at Finkernagel to be removed and not replaced as it is deemed 'End of Life".

Noise is needed now to have it replaced as when it is gone it will be harder to make happen.

If you can click on this link,

https://www.shoalhaven.nsw.gov.au/Redirect-Links/CISP-Survey

Complete the 5 short questions, then search for Finkernagel Reserve in the map.
Click on View and Update Feedback.

There will be 2 options that require your attention.

- Deliver Upgrades to sports lighting - if you can please strongly agree to this comment and write your own comment and then press save and colapse.

The next one which is the most important is the Renew play equipment, again please strongly agree with this comment and write your own note.
It can be as simple as " Must be replaced not taken from our kids"
Or as long as mine -
Our local footy field is a huge part of our community, and not replacing our playground is a huge issue! It’s great that our footy grounds are cared for, but our kids deserve better than outdated equipment and then none at all! Upgrading to new, inclusive play structures will draw more families to the grounds on game days and weekend mornings. Let’s invest in our children and turn this space into a safe, vibrant place for everyone in to enjoy! (Thanks ChatGPT 🫣)

We can make a difference here team! Please take the 6mins to complete its for our kids.

The Sussex Inlet Panthers Ladies League Tag showed outstanding heart and determination this weekend, taking the field with just 10 players, one short and no bench, up against an opposition with fresh legs to rotate.
Despite the challenge, the Panthers came out firing in the first half, with their defence setting the tone early. Every player dug deep, showing grit, resilience, and commitment, keeping the opposition to just a handful of tries heading into the second half.
Bec was electric, producing a blistering run that saw her slice through the defence and charge all the way to the try line, only to be stopped just short. Soon after, her sister Sarah made it count from dummy half, diving over to put the Panthers on the scoreboard for the very first time this season, a huge moment for the team.
Charlotte made an impressive debut, showing confidence and speed with some strong runs down the sidelines. Jazzy stepped up at ho**er and was outstanding, making crucial tags and keeping the energy high, continually driving the team forward.
Kaylee was sharp throughout, making great breaks and strong defensive plays. Lily capitalised with a determined run in the far corner to cross for another try, then calmly slotted the conversion, a fantastic effort under pressure.
Payton showed incredible toughness, putting in a huge performance and sticking strong in defence despite playing with a broken finger. Duck and Mia were rock solid, making key tags and helping hold the defensive line when it mattered most.
Rylee provided one of the highlights of the match with a brilliant intercept, breaking through the line and making huge metres in a powerful run.
With no bench and a player down, the Panthers displayed resilience, teamwork, and heart that can’t be taught. The scoreboard doesn’t reflect the effort and spirit of this side and this is only the beginning for these incredible ladies!

The Sussex Panthers Ladies League Tag team took to the field for their very first game, facing off against The Basin in what was always going to be a tough introduction to the competition. While the final scoreline read 44–0, it doesn’t tell the full story of the heart, effort, and determination shown by this brand-new side.

With several players stepping onto the field for their first-ever game and no substitutes on the bench, the Panthers dug deep from start to finish. Their defence was a standout, with countless brave tags and a refusal to give up, even under constant pressure. The team also showed glimpses of attacking promise, with some strong runs that gained valuable metres and built confidence. There was also some great tagging throughout the game, with Chelsea and Sarah standing out for their consistent defensive efforts. Chelsea was a strong first receiver and played an important role in setting up the team’s plays, being an integral link in the Panthers’ attack. Rylee also impressed in the centres with great communication all game, along with some strong runs and effective tags. She also had a strong kicking game on kick-offs, gaining good distance and helping the team get up the field. Kaylee had a great moment in the second half, breaking through the line for a strong run that lifted the team’s energy. Sonia, in her first ever game, showed great courage and determination, making some fantastic tags. Payton was outstanding in defence with some amazing tags, always switched on and reading the play well. When she did take the ball into attack, she was difficult to pull down, making strong and determined runs.

Mia and Sarah were key voices in defence, showing excellent communication throughout the game and helping hold the team together under pressure. Their leadership and organisation in defence made a big difference, keeping the Panthers connected and focused.

Jazz, our pocket rocket dummy half and the shortest player on the field, was everywhere. She brought energy, speed, and determination to every play, keeping momentum flowing with quick thinking and sharp service. Darting out of dummy half and taking on the line with confidence, she kept the defence guessing all game. Her work rate and composure in such a key role were outstanding.

Duck, who was originally set to play on the wing, really stepped up for the team, filling in wherever she was needed. She worked tirelessly, sprinting down the sidelines to tag opponents and applying constant pressure, showing great versatility and commitment.

One of the highlights of the match came from Lily, who pulled off a fantastic intercept, showing great awareness and timing. She also made an incredible effort to tackle an opposition player out over the sideline, leaving the crowd in disbelief. In a moment that had everyone talking, she also managed to accidentally take out the referee—who just happened to be one of our own coaches—along with an opposition player in the same play!

A special mention to Renee, whose defensive effort was nothing short of epic. She gave it her all until unfortunately hurting her hamstring, forcing her to come off and rest—something no one could fault given the effort she had already put in.

Bec, although out today following surgery, still made a huge effort to turn up and support her team. She should have been at home resting in bed, but instead chose to be there cheering on the Panthers, showing true team spirit and commitment.

Despite the result, this game marked an important first step for the Sussex Panthers. The effort, teamwork, and resilience on display are a strong foundation to build on, and with more experience under their belts, this team is only going to grow stronger.

Well done, Panthers—plenty to be proud of in your first game! 🐾
