Women’s Social Bowls Wrap-Up (Christmas in July DRESS UP) – Tuesday, 21st July
We had a fantastic turnout for the ladies this Tuesday. Everyone arrived nice and early to get straight out on the turf green, dressed up in their Christmas outfits looked good! The winners of the day were on Rink 5, consisting of K. Parkhill, J. Spence, C. Bradley, and K. Bennett. The runners-up were on Rink 6 with L. Jones, J. Barton, and L. Handel, while second runners-up were on Rink 4 with L. O’Shea, Y. Marsh, and C. Malcolm. Congratulations ladies and thanks for a great day. see you next week.
Men’s Social Bowls Wrap-Up – Wednesday, 22nd July
The sun was out in the morning, though it drifted away around lunchtime. We had an awesome turnout of 34 players despite the cooler southerly breeze. We sent the blokes out around 12:30 pm for a tight, competitive afternoon. We had a couple of teams draw today, the players on Rink 8 locked it up at 20–20, while the teams on Rink 11 drew at 19–19. Well done, gents! The winning rink of the day was Rink 12 with D. Newham, T. Sheilds, and S. McCarthy. Second winning rink went to Rink 9 with A. Niems, T. Cross, and L. Sperring, while the losing rink was Rink 8 with R. Burns, R. Crewdson, A. Malcolm, Bones, B. Robertson, and S. Devin (visitor). Our raffle winners were A. Niems, F. Sartori, T. Cross, and J. Naismith. Thanks for a great day. Hope you see you all again next Wednesday!
Open Social Bowls Wrap-Up – Thursday, 23rd July
We mixed things up a bit this Thursday with something brand new a cracking game of Open 2-Bowl Singles! We had a brilliant turnout with 30 players hitting the greens, and it was great seeing the ladies and blokes out there playing together. Taking out the top spot for Winning Rink was Rink 11, with S. Burns, N. Lawrence, and S. McCarthy bowling out of their skins well done, crew! The 2nd Winning Rink went to J. Leslie, A. Green, and L. Sperring, while the Lucky Rink honours went to J. Young, J. Brian, K. Strong, and A. Hilder. The raffle was a big one today with extra prizes up for grabs, with the lucky winners being R. Codey, C. Bradley, R. Burns, J. Young, J. Brien, and J. Leslie. Everyone had an absolute blast, and we can’t wait to see you all back on the green for the next open game!
Men’s 300 Club Wrap-Up- Friday 24th July
What a great winters day, no wind, not a cloud in the sky, sun is shining and warm weather as well. What more do you need to have a roll. Winning rink were Brian McGlynn, Ermie Racca (visitor) and Alan Neems. Nearly there, was big Tommy, Billy Gauci and Glen Matthews. Meat trays raffles supplied by our sponsor, Inlet Butchery (thanks boy’s) were won by Tom Shiels, Bobby Riggs (good to see you Bob), Doc and Alan Hilder.

Absolutely a great turn out today with 34 bowlers coming for an open social game today thank you everyone. Weather was stunning a few bowlers saying “it was roasting in the sun” we had both of our greens being played on today. And the lucky team on our lucky rink R. Codey, R, Codey, L. Powell, K, Powell. The winners on the 2nd lucky rink were l. O’Shea, G. O’Shea, K. Hill, D. Hill, D. Trudgett, A. Trudgett. They all came up around 11:40am and got seated for our raffles the winners were D. Trudgett, J. Forbes, D. Christian, N. Lawrence. Well Done to everyone who showed up for today's wonderful weather and games. See you all next week.
