I had this question in my DMs last week and thought it would benefit someone to hear this.
Question was: "How am I ever going to learn how to love my body when the media is still promoting skinny girls (by which I mean very skinny girls)?"
What we know to be true is that bodies come in all shapes and sizes PLUS abilities.
It is also possible that comparing your body to someone else's without knowing how they got there can be a slippery slope towards inviting feelings of unworthiness and unnecessarily harsh self criticism. So I'd like to offer some thinking here as a start towards feeding your mind with more affirming cues that propel you towards enjoying the experience of being IN your body.

๐By unfollowing ๐ผ๐๐ the pages that are feeding your insecurities.๐๐ฝ
๐Find content that you feel inspires you - physically, emotionally and spiritually ! Follow women who's skin & bodies look like yours.
๐Find ways to love and express yourself in the body that you HAVE NOW. She has carried you this far and she has many years worth of stories still to tell. Celebrate her, worship her, nurture her, love her exactly as she is today.
If youve followed me for a while, youll notice i did a big cull myself. Hope this helps someone ๐
