We arrived on the Sunshine Coast without a village around us. Almost four years later, I looked around this studio and realised we had built one. 🤍
When Nate and I first walked into this completely empty space, we both saw what it could become. Nate fitted out the entire studio himself while we continued raising our three children, running the business and juggling everything that comes with family life.
But our vision was always about so much more than the physical space.
This studio has become a place where people come to move, laugh, breathe and feel good in themselves. A place where friendships are formed, people are supported through difficult seasons and everyone is reminded that they matter.
It is a space where you can arrive feeling nervous, overwhelmed or unsure of yourself and be met with kindness. Where you can take up space, move freely and be completely yourself without pressure or judgement.
Every person who has walked through these doors has helped create what R&B is today. The love, encouragement, compassion and support within this community are what bring this studio to life.
Today was our filming day, and we created something completely different from anything we have done before. I had a vision for what I wanted it to be, what I wanted it to represent and how I wanted our community to feel while being part of it.
Watching that vision come to life today made me feel incredibly proud.
There will always be moments when self-doubt becomes loud or someone else’s words make you question yourself. Today reminded me to keep believing in the things that matter deeply to me and to keep creating from the heart.
Because the most beautiful part of any vision is seeing what it becomes when other people are welcomed into it.
Nate built this beautiful studio, but it is our community that has made it feel like home.
This is our village.
This is R&B 😍
