GET WELL SOON JEZZA!

Jeremy Stewart suffers severe leg injury….

The injury was sustained in the FQPL3 Semi Final between Kawana vs Woombye match which saw Kawana go on and book their place against Noosa in the GF.

Jeremy was taken straight to hospital with what was suspected a double break in his lower leg. It was later confirmed that both bones were broken, the Tibia and Fibula and is now awaiting surgery today.

Jezza is a much loved member of the futsal and the wider Sunshine Coast football community.

He is a current Sunshine Coast Futsal Association Staff Member who Centre Managers at our Chancellor State College venue during the Sunshine Coast Futsal League and a former Sunshine Coast Wave Men’s Player, along with former Wave and State Futsal Coach.

Everyone from both Sunshine Coast Futsal Association & Real Brazil Futsal Academy, we wish Jeremy the best for his upcoming surgery and recovery!

𝐅-𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐠𝐮𝐞 𝐑𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝 6 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐥𝐭

A weekend at home for our senior Wave teams against Sala FC this weekend. A tough Sunday, the Men went down in a tough game which saw Sala Time score two late goals and our Men were unable to get themselves back into the contest.
Our Women fought out an intense draw in their first Home Match of the season!
A brace from Piper Vidulich saw the points get shared.
Back again next week! 🔥

SUNSHINE COAST WAVE 8️⃣ — 3️⃣ LA MAQUINA

What a comeback! 💙🌊

La Maquina from the Gold Coast caught the 2025 Qld Futsal Cup Champions napping early, racing out to a 3–0 lead inside the opening 10 minutes.

But Wave showed exactly why they are the reigning champions. 💪

To their credit, Wave fought their way back into the contest before half time, scoring three goals to level the match at 3–3.

Jed Zanos got the comeback started with a brilliant individual effort by calmly slotting home Wave’s opener.

A beautifully worked free kick then saw Jayden Emery poke home after a deflected effort from an Ollie Demerutis shot.

Maxx Demerutis then completed the comeback to send the teams into the break level.

A few minor tactical adjustments at half time proved decisive, with Wave taking control of the second half.

Maxx Demerutis grabbed his second to put Wave in front for the first time.

Jayden Emery added another as Wave began to pull away.

Jed Zanos then produced another fantastic piece of work, holding off a tenacious La Maquina defender through several physical challenges before finding Koby Morrison unmarked to his right. Koby made no mistake from the tight angle, smashing the ball into the roof of the net — top bins! 🎯

Ollie Demerutis then got on the scoresheet with a well-worked team move that saw Ollie turn his defender and deliver a left foot rocket into the net.

And Jayden Emery completed his hat-trick with Wave’s eighth and final goal of the night! 🎩🔥
