Launching small children off steep hills is fun 😬🤣

In our sessions, we don’t jump straight to the 7.5 meter hill. We begin on the grassy slope, even heading backwards on the track at first, because building confidence comes step by step. I want to give a huge thank you to all of our wonderful parents who support the kids on the big hill at the end. With 10 or 12 riders, I couldn’t do it without your help, some kids roll in from the top, while others build up their confidence with me and you guys at the base as we slowly move our way up towards the top. Together, we make progress possible! Just a reminder, no Saturday sessions this weekend. I’ll see you all Wednesday though.

Last year in the chaos of a busy session, one of my beginner riders made his way to the top gate with a group of riders who had dropped from the top numerous times before without me realizing. Full of confidence and excitement, he launched himself down the hill, pedaled when he shouldn’t have, and crashed.

Thankfully he walked away without serious injury. 🙏No broken bones, no concussion. 😅

A properly fitted, high-quality helmet is one of the most important pieces of safety equipment we can give our kids.

At Buzzlinez I place a strong focus on brake control. Learning when and how to brake gives young riders confidence, control, and the ability to manage speed safely.
This is why we teach track awareness, patience, and progression because bravery is incredible, but safety always comes first.

So incredibly proud of my two super mini wheelers today! 💛

Luca, just 3 years old 2 sessions into riding pedals on the track, and Olive 2 years old (3 next week to be exact!) tackled the track with courage beyond their years.

Today was Olive’s very first time ever riding pedals on the track. She was amazing!!!

Both riders showed so much bravery, determination and resilience, navigating the rollers, managing their bikes, getting back up after falls, and trying again with big smiles and even bigger hearts.

This is what BMX is all about…courage, persistence, and believing in yourself. So proud of you both! 🚲✨
