Someone brought their first BMX trophy into our session today! 🥇

12 months ago, he was just starting out, figuring out balance, learning to brake, building the courage to roll down that massive hill of ours. 😬 Over the weekend, he stood on the line at the Rocky Rumble in Rockhampton and rode his heart out.

That trophy? It’s shiny, yeah? But what shines even more is the resilience, the way he manages those big feelings when things don’t go right and the never give up attitude!

Racing isn’t just about crossing the line first. It’s about showing up, growing, laughing with friends, and discovering what you’re capable of.

So proud of Hamish and the journey he’s on. Keep striving, and keep having fun!!

🚲⛑️ Safety Equipment Hire: Helmets and gloves and bikes are provided free during the 4-week AusCycling trial period. After the trial, a hire fee will apply for riders requiring club equipment. This helps us cover the ongoing cleaning, maintenance and replacement of shared safety equipment. Riders are welcome to bring their own approved safety equipment. 🐝💛

A big bunch of eager balance bikers learning to ride, race and have fun with their mates! 🏁

Today was all about riding our track, learning race protocols, being a good sport, cheering each other on and finishing with plenty of high fives! ✋🥰

Race hard. Cheer harder. Have fun! 🐝⚡️

It takes a village to keep our BMX community rolling. Today, all 8 of our club bikes got some love, cleaned and ready for the next little riders. These bikes give kids a chance to try BMX and build confidence before families invest in their own gear. We are so fortunate to have such a collection!

Like every community club, none of this happens on its own. If you’re new to our BMX family and have 20-30 minutes spare on our Working Bee mornings, every once in a while, we’d love to see you at a working bee.

Whether it’s cleaning, whipper snippering or just lending a bit of a hand. Many hands really do make light work. Thank you to the incredible volunteers who already give so much. 💛👏🏻

Today this little Buzzlinez rider is taking on his first BIG race meet in Rockhampton at the Rocky Rumble🏁🔥

I’m incredibly proud of the hard work, dedication and persistence he has shown to get to this point. Every session, every challenge, every wobble, every little breakthrough has helped build the rider he is today.

Racing for the first time at a big meet can feel like a BIG deal, but he has already achieved something pretty special just by getting himself to that starting gate. 💪🏼

Remember to have fun, trust your training and enjoy the ride! 🐝⚡️

Whatever happens today, you should be incredibly proud of yourself. We certainly are! 💛
