Today Sensei Luke competed in the veterans kata and kumite competition at my good friend Cheynnes’s dojo Australian Karate Academy

Anthony, one of our members, took home gold in his division, and I managed to come away with two bronze medals—one in Kata and one in Kobudo!

At Karate Academy of Power, our Young Leaders Program is about far more than earning belts. We challenge our students to become confident, disciplined and respectful young people who are willing to step up, help others and lead by example.

Leadership isn't about being the loudest person in the room. It's about having the courage to do the right thing, taking responsibility for your actions, showing respect to everyone around you and continuing to improve even when things get difficult.

Every class, every challenge and every lesson is another opportunity to build resilience, character and confidence that extends well beyond the dojo. These are skills our students carry into school, their families, their future workplaces and their communities.

Fairwell and a huge thank you from all our members to my good friend Sensei Norton Norton Lau from Hong Kong for joining us for 3 days. It was great experience for everyone and we cant thank you enough.

Lots of training, food and drink! We look forward to seeing you again soon.

Martial arts makes the world a smaller place and crosses paths you may have never done so before, its one of the best reasons to train in it. You can be anywhere in the world and speak the international language of sweating!
