September school holidays are creeping up… somehow we’re only three and a half weeks away from camp!

Across six action packed days, our campers will be kept moving with a huge mix of sport, games and physical challenges. There’ll be plenty of opportunities to try something new, build confidence, make friends and [most importantly!] have a whole lot of fun. If you’ve been meaning to get your child enrolled, this is your reminder to jump on it.

These school holidays at camp, we have introduced a new “theme of the day” for the children to focus on. We did this to help highlight some of the values we prioritise at Noosa Sports Camp, and to give the children something meaningful to work towards throughout the day.

Each day, our coaches look for children who demonstrate that theme through their actions, attitude and the way they interact with others. Rather than looking at who is the fastest, strongest or most confident, we are looking for the children who consistently show these values in the way they play, listen, encourage others and contribute to the group.

On Monday our theme was sportsmanship. We were looking for children who played fairly, followed the rules, congratulated others, and handled both winning and losing well. Our winner was Sofia G!

Tuesday’s theme was respect. We were looking for children who listened well, followed instructions, waited their turn, and showed respect for their coaches and teammates. Our winner was Ryan N!

The theme on Wednesday was teamwork. We were looking for children who worked well with others, took turns, included others, encouraged their teammates and listened to the group. Our winner was Zen W!

A huge congratulations to Sofia, Ryan and Zen, who each went home with their very own Kidfit Academy sports cap! These values are such an important part of what we try to encourage at camp — not just being active and having fun, but learning how to play fairly, listen well, work with others and contribute positively to the group.

What to pack for a full day at Noosa Sports Camp 👇

With camp kicking off in just a few days, here’s a quick reminder of what children will need to bring to camp with them:

• A water bottle and a hat
• Morning tea and lunch
• Comfortable clothes for running and playing
• Closed in shoes
• Sunscreen applied before arrival, as well as mosquito repellent if needed

Children will be active throughout the day, so please make sure they have enough food packed to keep them going!

Drop off is between 8:30-9am and pick up is from 3-3:15pm at Noosa Springs Golf & Spa Resort.

There's a lot of thought that goes into the way each day of Noosa Sports Camp is structured. With more than fifteen years of experience working with children in both school and sporting environments, our Head Coach Harry understands that keeping children engaged throughout a full day requires more than simply choosing a few sports and hoping for the best.

That's one of the reasons we don't spend all day playing a single sport.
Children naturally enjoy variety. They like new challenges, different games and the opportunity to switch gears throughout the day. By regularly changing activities, we're able to keep energy levels high and maintain enthusiasm from the first activity through to the last.

It also means children are exposed to a much broader range of sports, games and movement challenges. Not every child arrives at camp feeling confident with every activity, and that's okay. By incorporating lots of variety, children can try new things, develop new skills and discover activities they enjoy without feeling like they're stuck doing the same thing for hours at a time.

We also find it creates more opportunities for success. One child might love the collaboration of team sports, while another shines during a relay, endurance challenge or problem-solving activity. A varied program gives every child the chance to find something they enjoy and feel good about.

While no two days at camp look exactly the same, every activity is selected with the same goal in mind: helping children stay active, engaged and enjoying their school holidays.

Less than one week to go until Noosa Sports Camp!

We’re busy preparing equipment, finalising activities and getting everything ready for two weeks of sport, games and outdoor fun.

Every day at camp looks a little different, but our focus stays the same: helping children stay active, build confidence, make friends and enjoy their school holidays.

Camp One runs from Monday 29 June to Wednesday 1 July, with Camp Two running from Monday 6 July to Wednesday 8 July at Noosa Springs Golf & Spa Resort. Drop off is from 8:30-9am and pick up is from 3-3:15pm.

One of the biggest misconceptions about Noosa Sports Camp is that children need to be “sporty” to enjoy it.

The reality is that every child comes to camp with different interests, abilities and experiences. Some play team sport every weekend, while others simply enjoy getting outside, playing games and being active with friends. Some arrive feeling confident and energised, while others take a little longer to find their feet.

Our goal isn’t simply to help children become better athletes. It’s to help them become more confident and resilient humans who enjoy being active.

We use games and healthy competition to challenge children, encourage teamwork and create plenty of fun throughout the day. But our coaches are looking for more than who scores the most goals or wins the relay.

We celebrate the child who encourages a teammate, shows resilience after a setback, displays good sportsmanship, listens well, gives something new a try or simply throws themselves into every activity with enthusiasm. Those are the moments that make us just as proud as any result on the scoreboard.

Whether your child already loves sport or is simply looking for a fun and active way to spend their school holidays, we’d love to welcome them to camp.

The people we choose to coach at Noosa Sports Camp are just as important as the activities we run.

While our coaching team comes from a range of sporting and educational backgrounds — including primary education, exercise physiology and competitive sport — we don’t select coaches based on qualifications alone.

We’re looking for people who bring positive energy, communicate well with children and genuinely enjoy helping young people learn, grow and have fun.

Many of our coaches are studying to become teachers or health professionals, while others are actively involved in sports such as soccer, netball, tennis, surfing and more. They bring a wealth of knowledge and experience, but more importantly, they serve as positive role models for the children in our programs.

Every member of our coaching team is hand-picked and works under the guidance of our Head Coach, Harry, who has spent more than ten years working with children across both school and sporting environments. Together, our goal is to create a safe, supportive and engaging experience where every child feels included, challenged and encouraged.

We get asked a lot what a typical day at Noosa Sports Camp looks like, and the truth is there really isn’t one.

We’ve designed our all-day school holiday program to be full of variety, meaning no two days look exactly the same. While the activities change, the goal remains the same: to give children the opportunity to stay active, learn new skills, challenge themselves, build confidence and have fun with friends.

Throughout the day, children participate in a range of sports, games and movement-based activities designed to develop physical literacy, teamwork, resilience and confidence in a supportive environment.

Most importantly, they spend the day outdoors, making friends, trying new things and creating memories they’ll still be talking about long after camp finishes.
