SCBC ROUND 4: VINTAGE ROUND
PRESENTED BY Lids. Bodyboarding™️

Saturday, 12 September 2026 is the date for Round 4.
The primary location will be Ann Street Reef, Ballinger Beach.
There’s still plenty of time to get your entry in and let any other bodyboarders who may be interested know about the Vintage Round.

VINTAGE DIVISION
Round 4 will feature all the usual SCBC divisions, plus a special VINTAGE DIVISION.
To compete in the Vintage Division, you’ll need to ride an old-school/vintage bodyboard. Dig that old board out of the shed, dust it off and bring it back to the water!

MEMBERSHIP
If you’re not currently an SCBC or GCBC member, you can join specifically for the Vintage Round.
Join through the Surfing Australia membership portal below, select Join, and follow the prompts to select the Vintage Round.
Membership will provide the required insurance and State membership coverage for the event.

REGISTRATION
Registrations are now open for Round 4 of the Sunshine Coast Bodyboard Club Championship Series.

Registrations close at 6:00 PM Friday, 11 September.
SCBC members Please include your name, email address and division/s when registering.
Competitors can enter their main division plus one additional division.
GCBC AND VINTAGE members can only enter the Vintage division.

EVENT DETAILS
Primary Location: Ann Street Reef, Ballinger Beach
Date: Saturday, 12 September 2026
Please keep an eye on SCBC social media for updates, as the location may change depending on conditions.

Schedule:
6:00 AM – Set-up begins (lend a hand if you can!)
6:30 AM – Check-in opens
6:45 AM – All competitors should be checked in
7:00 AM – First heat starts

The final contest location will be confirmed by officials at 6:00 AM on contest day, with updates posted across social media.
Plan to arrive early and be ready to go. If you’re running late, contact the club immediately so we can make sure you don’t miss your heat.

G’day legends 🤙

SCBC have made the early decision to POSTPONE Round 4: VINTAGE ROUND.

Unfortunately, the waves aren’t looking great at the locations they have permits for, so they have decided to hold off and try again in early September.

We’ll keep everyone updated with the new date and details.

SCBC Round 4: VINTAGE ROUND - WURTULLA 15 AUGUST 2026

Registrations are now open for Round 4 of the Sunshine Coast Bodyboard Club Championship Series. This round will be unique as it will have the normal divisions, but also have a Vintage division. In the VINTAGE division, you need to ride an old vintage bodyboard.

Event Details
Primary Location: WURTULLA (Dorothy Anderson Park, Wurtulla).
Backup locations: Peregian and Yaroomba

Stay tuned for announcements closer to the event, as the event location could change.

Schedule:
Set-up starts at 6:00 AM (lend a hand if you can!)
Check-in opens at 6:30 AM
First heat kicks off at 7:00 AM sharp

The final location will be confirmed by officials at 6:00 AM on contest day, with updates posted on social media. Plan to arrive early and be ready, as we want everyone checked in by 6:45 AM. If you’re running late, let us know immediately so you don’t miss out.

Heats are locked in for the 2026 Lindsay Connolly Memorial Dropknee Pro, proudly presented by BlackFlag Brewery.

Rounds 1 to 3 are now published in this post.

The event will be live streamed with link coming prior to the event.

A flipper race and expression session will also run during the event, with prizes up for grabs for both.

The event is planned for Saturday, 8 August, with a two‑day window in place.

Please note: times may change. Make sure you arrive with plenty of time before your heat. Check in 15 minutes prior to your scheduled heat to allow enough time for the paddle out.
