After a depressing start to the season, I had my first mostly positive weekend, Broadford: Round 2 of the State Championship.

Quite a few challenges faced, including racing in the wet and running in the front pack, and although it wasn't perfect and there's always heaps to improve upon, I'm happy to experience those things without a negative outcome.

Lots of clean battles, and some cool 360⁰ footage to be posted soon!

Never know what’s going on behind your back…
Experimental camera set up from the Final race of the weekend. A pretty good view of all the action in the mid pack.
Educational too. You can see the gap that can be made by one smooth corner and also the massive cost of every little driving error when they all gain on me.

The 2026 Australian Championship at Phillip Island wrapped up.

Some awesome battles and great to be back to the Island for the second time in my life.
Fantastic track, hoping for more races here in the future.
Congratulations to on securing the Championship, against all odds! Massive inspiration to everyone, legendary comeback. Very proud to witness it, God is good. 🏆🏁

Congratulations also to .perera.98 on placing third of the podium after some hard fought battles.

As for me, I managed to get a decent lap time a few tenths off the leaders, but struggled in the mid-pack with making maneuvers that had bad outcomes due to my choice of gearing. Lots to work on before the next round.

Overall disappointed in myself this weekend, but we learn from it and face the realty that I still have a lot to improve, we are not there yet.

See you at Broadford in a few weeks time 👊 let's see how much of a difference we can make between now and then.

Last year’s race for the Gold Nugget.
Off to a rough start during Friday practice, but managed to dial in better on race day until my chain decided to bid me adieu in Race 4.
Overall finished 6th out of a field of 12 competitors.
Qualifying: 4th
Race 1: 5th (started from the back of the pit straight due to incident on roll round)
Race 2: 4th
Race 3: DNF
Race 4: 5th

So many people to thank for making what started out as a stressful weekend at the back of the field into a day I could fight for a podium.
Great end to the season.
Thank you to everyone who was there for me and pushed me to give it my all despite not being able prepare in advance the amount I had desired to.

Season off to a slow start.
Taking in all the highs and lows from this weekend.
My engine unfortunately was struggling quite a bit which gave me little to work with, but managed to pull it together to at least have some good battles in race 3 and 4.
Thank you to Russ Occhipinti, Sanuja Perera Racing and Alex Maltaric and fam for all the help and support on and off track, you guys are legends.
Highlight was having Russ back with us fighting for the lead, amazing comeback from 6 months of brutal battles off track to get to this point, safe to say the whole club is all beyond proud. 🙏
Congratulations to Sunny on snatching the win this round after persisting through challenges last year.
And to Russ and Hayden on 2nd and 3rd.
Sending my best wishes to Jeremy Crust glad you're safe and prayers for a speedy recovery.

And thanks to Juzzy Ford for the new Ace Karts - Real Life Racing team suits, came out amazing!
