🥶💙BIG FREEZE 2026 - FIGHT MND💙🥶

We had an amazing day at our Big Freeze fundraiser for FightMND. The day was about so much more than fundraising, it was about community spirit, sharing laughs, making memories, and standing united for a cause that means so much to so many people.

From the costumes, icy slides and buckets, to the generosity shown by everyone, the day reminded us just how powerful a community can be when it rallies behind something bigger than itself.

We also pause to acknowledge the bravery and determination of the late Neale Daniher. Neale inspired an entire nation with his courage, resilience, and unwavering belief that together we could beat Motor Neurone Disease. His legacy is far greater than football, it will live on in every fundraiser, donation, conversation, and person who chooses to keep fighting.
But...the fight does not stop here. It becomes even more important that we continue supporting FightMND and keep donating to the cause now more than ever after his passing. The work, research and hope continues because of communities like ours. We have so many sponsors and supporters to thank who helped get this event across the line but they deserve their own post and sincere gratitude!

We share a few highlights, with many more to come, and can’t wait to share them with everyone. These are proof of what can happen when people come together with kindness and purpose.

On behalf of everyone involved, thank you again for supporting our Big Freeze event and helping keep Neale Daniher’s vision alive.

This is only the beginning for our club, we will be back bigger and better next year with huge ideas and even more support already in the works!

This National Volunteer Week, we would like to thank all of our amazing football and netball volunteers. From coaches, team managers and committee members to scorers, canteen helpers, first aid, water carriers and parents — your time, passion and support makes our club possible. Your dedication helps create opportunities, friendships and a strong community for all players. We truly appreciate everything you do, both on and off the court and field.

Congratulations Lions , we pretty quickly smashed our original goal of $5000 and increased it to $10,000 which we have just PASSED!!

Thank you to all of our participants in tomorrows event for achieving such amazing numbers in our first ever Big Freeze!
