As the Rupo season draws to a close, we want to wish safe travels to our senior cricketers, Joey, Ryley and Deegan. They are off for another season of cricket with our brothers at Minster. We are sure they will represent the Blue and Gold very well and bring back another flag.

As our First and Second XI prepare for finals we announce the Senior presentation night.

This will be a great night to congratulate all the long awaited milestones, achievements, wins and celebrate the end to a great season of cricket at our favourite club.

What a weekend.

1st XI - Our firsts took on Woodend in the semi-final. Woodend put up a solid performance day 1, making 238 runs. Entering day 2 the boys put in a tough effort, Kev making 54 in an attempt to bring our boy's back over the line. After a hard fought season they unfortunately didn't walk away with the win. We can't wait to see what this team brings next season.

2nd XI - In front of a massive crowd our 2s have walked away as Premiers. With a nail biting performance against Romsey in the Grand Final, the boys took away an 11 run win with 4.3 overs to go. Special mentions to Deegs taking 4 for 27 and Truck who took 5, an absolute clinic to push his team to the finish line. A terrific catch in the silence of a great crowd by Joe lead the boys to the finish line. Some great performances all round, following suit from the rest of their season. A great year finished with a great win to a very deserving bunch of blokes. Congratulations to all who played and contributed to such a massive season.

2nd XI - through to the big dance against Romsey at Rupo, with an unchanged side after a successful weekend against SUCC.

What A Weekend!

1st XI through to a Semi Final✅
Saturday was a huge day for the Mac’s, defending 243 was no easy task but the boys knew how to dig deep and find a way to win. A monster effort from Bez bowling 25 overs at (1.93), and Kev bowling 20 overs at (2.90). Helped by a clinical al-round effort in the field from the boys and they came away with the chocolates! Heads turn to this weekend as they take on Woodend in a Semi Final!

2nd XI through to a home Grand Final✅
A picture perfect weekend for the 2’s as they knocked off United to advance into a Grand Final. After losing the toss and fielding, United were off to a solid start at 1/80 odd. Truck got the breakthrough and then it was the spin twins turn to cause some chaos. Ollie 2/19 off 14 and Ryley 4/44 off 13 tore through the middle order, resulting in United being all out for 174.

With the bat, it was a clinical 2 day performance from the top order batsman. Bondy [30(125)] and Blake [58(102)] guided the chase to 2/95. The reigns were handed over to Trent [42(76)] and Powelly [24(74)] who pushed the chase closer with awesome temperament. Sutho then wacked the boys home to victory with plenty of overs to spare! They will take on Romsey this weekend in a home Grand Final.💙💛

John is absolutely pumped for a big weekend of cricket!

Huge stakes this weekend as our 2nd’s take on United in a 2-Day clash for a shot at the big dance. The side is in and it is a strong one good luck boys, come away with those chocolates on Sunday!

Adjacent to the 2nd’s who will play on the pines, the Main Oval will be a contest you don’t want to miss. The 1st XI defending 243 for a spot in the McIntyre Cup finals! Make sure you come down and support both teams on both Saturday and Sunday, let’s get them over the line💛💙

Twents Does the Double!

Huge effort from Matty to take out his 3rd and 4th POTW award for the season. Matt now surpasses the 700 run mark for the season and also knocks up his 5th ton since returning to the club!

His composure in tough situations is ridiculous, coming to the crease at 3/26 & 3/24, back against the wall and putting pressure back on the opposition. Words cannot describe the touch this bloke is in at the moment, single handily keeping the 1st XI alive in their last 2 games. Well done Matt let’s hope we can see some more big knocks this year.💛💙
