Emmaville Performance Horses has been run by Grant and Heather Hughes for over 35 years. We are passionate about equestrian sports and love to share our love of horses with our community. We breed, train, compete, produce and sell horses of many disciplines and are passionate about them going to good homes, performing to their best and cared for as if they are part of a family. h riders of all levels who are passionate about showjumping! He trains riders of all ages and levels - from Grand Prix Showjumping to riders who jump for fun. He is always open to taking new riders who want want our families support and knowledge of riding. We compete, train, breed, and produce a beautiful team of horses, as well as have a wonderful team of riders who join our team - made of clients, staff and friends. Grant loves to compete his horses, as well as his family and the rest of the team. We are passionate about equestrian sports and love to share this passion and love of horses with our community. The Emmaville team enjoyed the first round of the Melissa McPherson showjumping competition. The weather was perfect and all horses jumped well. A big thank you to the volunteers and officials who make running these days possible. Thank you to our wonderful staff and helpers for your assistance preparing our beautiful horses. Our young horses had a great day last Sunday at the ACT Showjumping Club competition.
Stock horse/TB cross, Sandy had her first start and took it all in her stride. Thank you to our riders, grooms and other helpers for your assistance. Thank you to the officials and volunteers for running a lovely day. Thank you to Horseland Canberra for your support.

The Emmaville team enjoyed a lovely weekend at the ACT Showjumping Club Canberra Cup. The weather was perfect and the footing and courses excellent. Our thanks to the club committee, officials, sponsors and volunteers for running a great show. Thank you to our wonderful staff and helpers for your care of our lovely horses. Congratulations to Lane Clarke for his wins in the grand prix and the Bob Leech memorial six bar.

Yesterday Alyssa and Emmaville Moondancer competed at the NCEC dressage for Moondancer's first start in a dressage competition. Moondancer took it all in her stride and rode 2 lovely tests, finishing with 2 third placings.

The Emmaville team competed at the Berry Show and Nowra Show over the last 2 weekends. The team jumped very well, all horses picking up places in events. It was lovely that Blue Diamond won the grand prix at Nowra. Congatulations to Sarah and Katelyn for equal leading riders at Berry Show and Lane winning the grand prix at Berry Show. Thank you to the organising committees for running 2 lovely shows. The coast shows always have great grounds to jump on. Canberra people did well at these shows. A huge thank you to our grooms, staff and helpers who assist with the care and preparation of our horses. Thank you to event sponsors. The Emmaville team enjoyed a good day last weekend at the ACT Showjumping Club competition. We were very happy with our horses performances. Thank you to the hard working committee, officials and volunteers without whom these competitions wouldn't run. The Emmaville team took a smaller group of horses to the ACT Showjumping Club Eric Haltiner trophy on the weekend.
Our other horses are having a well deserved break from competition.
We would just like to acknowledge the wonderful contribution our committee, officials and other volunteers make to the running of these days.
There are many hours of planning and work associated with the running of these competitions and training days.
A special mention should be made to our judges and course designers, some of whom are riders themselves or have family members whom they support in their riding. These officials give up many hours, firstly gaining their accreditation then officiating at events. On the whole these officials are performing voluntary, unpaid work. Jumping events wouldn't run without the expertise and time given by these officials. The Emmaville team is greatly appreciative of all your efforts.
It would be great if occasionally our members and competitors could just thank your officials and other volunteers for the great job they do! 🙂🐴

The Emmaville team would like to acknowledge the wonderful feed which we use for our performance horses, mares and young horses, provided by Barastoc Horse. The feed has our horses in wonderful condition and gives them the energy needed to perform at their best. Emmaville Blue Diamond and Emmaville Twist are fed Competitor. Emmaville Magician and Oaks Escola are fed half Competitor, half Calm Performer. Emmaville Moondancer is fed Calm Performer. Our mares and foals are fed Breed N Grow. 🙂🐴
