The third round of the Ladies championship was played on Wednesday. The results, A grade winner Nicole Elliott. B grade Wendy Brougham and runner up Karen Georgiou. C grade winner Kerian Johnson and runner up Denise Watson. Overall handicap winners was Wendy Brougham by 1 from Kerian Johnson. Novelty , 2nd shot on 9 and 18 with two magnificent shots was Nicole Elliott and NTP on 6 and 15 Dianne Georgiou. Thank you to the Hotel board for their on going sponsorship

Sunday 16th of August saw the members take to the fast growing course, in better golfing weather for the last round of the Kel Redding club championships. Some good scores were carded at the end of the day while some still struggled.
The final results were. A grade was won each week by Callan Miller making him the new club champion with Dan Gazzola being the runner up. B grade was a little closer with defending champion Lijah Daniel tying the first week but eventually winning out right nine strokes ahead of Joel Alexander. C grade was the closer battle with Ty Redden being victorious by three strokes ahead of John Flaherty. With Kel’s son, club patron and life member Graham Redding being there for tea and presentations is was disappointing none of the overall winners stayed to receive their prizes from Graham. No phots were able to be taken either

Streaky Bay Meat Service pairs. The ladies played an aggregate stableford round on Wednesday for vouchers kindy donated by Streaky Bay Meat Service. Winners were Wendy Brougham and Wendy Pearson. Runner up were Nicole Elliott and Karen Georgiou. Novelty second shot on 9 and 18 was Nicole with 2 fantastic shots.

This weeks comp has been changed as the sponsor is currently out of the country. Since we have had three rounds of stroke. This week is pick your four man Ambrose team for club comp. And a reminder Elliston has it open this weekend

Here on the eve of the final round of club championships. There been a little bit of practice by some while others stayed away. As the time draws closer and expectations etc get higher time will tell you will be victorious at close of play. The day is meant to be far better weather wise than last week. A grade could be called already but if Dan is able to shoot a low seventy round things could change. B grade is still open with only four shots between tied leaders and second place. C grade looks like there is only three shots still be between the leader and second.
Good luck to all and there is two tee off tomorrow one at half eleven the other at the normal half twelve.

Last Sunday in not very golfing weather. With rain showers and wind at thirty or so kms per hour from the west. 13 players braved the conditions for the second round of club championships. The scores for the day showed how testing it was but one player was only five shots worse then round one. Most players were seven or more shots worse this round. It still leaves the b grade and c grade undecided but there is a good chance a grade is sorted.

The ladies played a stableford competition for prizes kindly donated by Streaky Bay Concrete. 7 played with 4 seasons in 1 day. Eventual winner was Kerian Johnson with 32 points and runner up Karen Georgiou. Novelty winner of most fairways hit was Kerian and was also the skins hole winner. Thanks again to our sponsor
