Weekend Wrap.

No ChatGPT for this one.

As most of you would know David Forde took a sickening hit on Saturday and spent 24 hours in emergency with multiple facial fractures. He is now home and has further assessments later this week. We wish Fordy a speedy recovery and we offer the support of the Rams Family to Linda, Grace and of course Fordy as they navigate the road to recovery.

While sitting in ED word came through that B Grade went on to win the game off the last ball, with a great 4 from Chris Friz. I know it would have been tough to continue the game knowing your teammate was in pain, but you won it for Fordy!! And it did put a little (painful) smile on his face.

C Grade had a tough start to the season. As soon as I dropped in to see them, our wickets started falling. I apologised profusely and got out of there quick smart. Unfortunately we didn't put enough runs on the board and couldn't win the game.

I will post some stats over the next couple of days, but for now please show your support for Fordy and his family. And thank you to everyone who ran to help him.

Lozz.

🏏💙💛 2 OUT OF 2 FOR SEDGWICK B GRADE! 💛💙🏏

The Rams are on a roll, making it two wins from two games! 🐏🔥

Batting first, we put a moderate total of 155 on the board, with a few handy contributions leading the way.

🏏 Pick of the batsmen:

- Mitch Hogan – 42 with a quick-fire innings!
- David Forde – 32, looking good until he was unfortunately run out.
- Sam Brown – 25

With the batters giving us something to defend, it was time for the bowlers to do their thing — and what a difference this week! 💪

🎯 The bowlers did the damage:

- Chris Friz – 4/10
- Jamieson Friz – 3/10
- David Forde – 2/6

An outstanding effort with the ball saw Bagshot bowled out for just 95 runs! 👏🔥

A much-improved bowling performance and a fantastic team effort all round.

Two from two! The Rams are building momentum! 💙💛🐏

Round 2 Team for B Grade!

🏏💙💛 AFTER A ROLLERCOASTER OF A WEEKEND… SEDGWICK B GRADE GET THE WIN! 💛💙🏏

What a day! Starting with thunder and rain, then sunshine, back to rain, and eventually running out of light and time — it certainly had a bit of everything!

Our B Grade won the toss and elected to bat, getting off to a solid start and posting a very respectable 6/193 from our 40 overs.
Most of the boys got themselves on the scoreboard, with some very handy contributions along the way. 👏
A special congratulations to Rav, who scored his first runs for the club! 🏏👏

With the ball, things were steady, and as the day wore on, our fitness really started to show.
A cracking run-out by Frizz got everyone fired up, and Dan picked up his first wicket for the club! Congratulations!👏🏏

With the game eventually called off due to time, the Rams walked away with the win after Maiden Gully were found to have played an ineligible player.
Not exactly the way you draw it up, but a win is a win! 😂💙💛
Congratulations B Grade — what an effort! 🐏🏏
