While many of us enjoyed a long weekend off, some of junior players were hard at work at the FV Country Championships.
We are incredibly proud of the following players who had the opportunity to represent FV Greater Bendigo and test themselves against the best regional talent from across Victoria:

A special congratulations goes to the U12 Girls, who were crowned Champions after an outstanding tournament.

200 Games – Louise McColl

This week we celebrate a pretty special milestone, with Louise McColl playing her 200th game for the club.

Lou joined the club 18 years ago and has been a huge part of our journey ever since. In that time she’s been involved in championship-winning sides, grand final wins, and plenty of great memories along the way.

Anyone who knows Lou knows how much she loves the club. For 18 years she’s kept turning up, putting in the effort, supporting her teammates, and giving her all every time she pulls on the yellow and black.

Playing 200 games is no small feat and is a reflection of her commitment, loyalty, and passion for the game.

Congratulations Lou on 200 games. It’s an incredible achievement and one that everyone at the club is proud to celebrate. 💛🖤

Friday night sorted! ✔️

Our junior players are running around with some fantastic new gear, and that's thanks to our major new partnership with who has teamed up with us to sponsor the Club for the next three years. With this support we will specifically fund junior equipment.

Here's the best part: Benefit Bendigo, together with Bendigo Bank, exists to improve local lives by empowering Greater Bendigo residents to directly support local initiatives through their banking. This Female Football Week we celebrate all the amazing women and girls who make our club and our game what it is 💜🖤💛

Our senior sides are all away this weekend!

The highlight of the round is set to be tomorrow’s grand final replay as our women take on Spring Gully. Our side may look different to the one that featured in last year’s thrilling decider, but they’re just as ready to take on their red rivals once again.

Our men are finally back in action after a frustrating start to the season that has included two forfeits and a postponed match. They’ll be eager to hit the pitch and show the league what they’re capable of.

Our youth side have had mixed results across their opening four games, but have shown plenty of promise and resilience. They’ll be looking to add a few more points to their name when they head down to Kyneton this weekend.

It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of former Colts player, Paul Sharp.

Sharpy was a much-loved member of the Colts community for more than 16 years. He played his first game for the club in 2010 and, in more recent years, was a familiar face around the club supporting his daughter Sienna in our junior program. Last year, he even pulled the boots back on for a few games with the Super Twos.

Known for his great sense of humour and genuine care for those around him, Sharpy made a lasting impact on many people throughout his time at Colts.

On behalf of everyone at the club, we extend our heartfelt condolences to Paul’s family, friends, and all who knew and loved him.

A celebration of Sharpy’s life will be held at Napier Park Chapel, 2pm tomorrow for those wishing to attend.

Our thoughts are with Sienna, Sally and all his loved ones during this incredibly difficult time.
