NSW ALL SCHOOLS 15&U TOUCH FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP

Last week both our Boys and Girls 15&U Touch Football teams competed at NSW All Schools Touch Football Championship. It was a tough championship for our girls team however they showed true CIS spirit, determination, drive and commitment throughout the championship. Congratulations to Bondi Werner who was named CIS Most Valuable player of the championship and was also selected into the NSW team. We would like to extend our congratulations to Kaleigh who has been appointed the NSW Manager. Good luck to both Bondi and Kaleigh at the SSA Games later this year.

Our boys team had a tough 9 point loss to CHS in the first game but brilliantly bounced back on won by 1 to CCC in the second game. The next day they had a triumphant 5-1 win against CCC but then had a tough loss against CHS. The boys made it to the grand final against CHS but had a tough 2 point loss. Congratulations to Luke Wicks on being named CIS MVP of the championship. We would like to extend our congratulations to Pax, Taten, Nicholas (coach) and Yass (manager) on their selection in the NSW team. Good luck at the SSA Games later this year!

NSW PSSA PRIMARY BOYS SOFTBALL CHAMPIONSHIPS

Last week our Primary boys softball team competed at the NSW PSSA Primary Boys Softball Championships. For the first time in CIS history the boys won the PSSA Championship 🥇🥇🥇. The boys battled the elements the first 2 days with consistent rain but showed true composure under challenging conditions and went undefeated across the championship!

We would like to extend a further congratulations to Elijah, Liandro, Alexi, Jude and Breanna (Manager) on their selection into the NSW PSSA team that will compete at the SSA games later this year. Congratulations to student umpire Harry on his selection at a student umpire for NSW and will go with the team to umpire at the SSA games.

2026 AUSTRALIAN SCHOOLS WATER POLO EXCHANGE CHAMPIONSHIP

Last week we had our Opens Girls and Opens Boys Water Polo teams compete at the Australian Schools Water Polo Exchange Championship.

Our girls team had a nail biting Gold Medal match against QLD, going neck and neck the whole game. The girls held on and had a 11-9 Win taking the Gold Medal 🥇🥇🥇. We would like to extend our congratulations to Emily B on winning Goalkeeper of the tournament, Amelie ZT on tournament MVP and Madeleine H on MVP of the final. Madeleine and Amelia F were named in the Tournament 7. Congratulations girls on a wonderful achievement.

The Boys team won bronze after a decisive 19-2 win against NSWCCC 🥉🥉🥉. Again, further congratulations to Luka TC on his selection into the tournament 7. Congratulations boys on a great championship!

NSW PSSA PRIMARY GIRLS NETBALL CHAMPIONSHIPS

Last week our Primary Girls Netball team competed at the NSW PSSA Primary Girls Netball Championship at Netball Central. The girls showed tremendous resilience throughout the championship playing 13 games of netball across 3 days of competition.

NSW PSSA PRIMARY BOYS NETBALL CHAMPIONSHIPS

Over the last 2 days CIS made history by having its first ever primary boys netball team compete at the PSSA Primary Boys Netball Championship. The boys showed great growth over the two days, improving every single quarter! They had a terrific championship winning 5 games, 1 draw and 2 losses. The team finished 4th overall which is an amazing result!

Congratulations to Hudson, Isaac and Walter on being selected into the NSW team who will compete at the SSA games later this year.

NSW PSSA CROSS COUNTRY CHAMPIONSHIP

On Wednesday we had over 60 CIS athletes compete at the 2026 NSW PSSA Cross Country Championships. It was a terrific day full of determination, hard work and dedication shown by our athletes. Congratulations to all the CIS athletes who made the NSW PSSA Team who will compete at the School Sport Australia Championships later this year.
