1-Day School Holiday Clinic

2-Day School Holiday Clinic
Tuesday 14th & Wednesday 15th July @ State Basketball Centre, Wayville
Children / youth aged 5-15 years, 9:00am – 3:00pm both days


High Performance Camps – Half Days – NEW
Friday July 17th @ The Lights Community & Sports Centre, Lightsview
9:00am – 12:00pm OR 1:00pm – 4:00pm

Targeted for basketballers playing at a district / high level to level up their game.
Includes fitness testing, offensive and defensive concepts and matchplay.
Designed and facilitated by Adelaide 36ers coaches.

REMINDER ABOUT TEAM PLAYER SWAP SCENARIOS

Hi All!

A friendly reminder about one of our core guidelines to help keep all our junior games competitive and fun: sharing players when one team is short on subs!

We want to make sure every player gets maximum court time and that no team gets too tired to run out the game effectively.

The Scenario: If one team has no subs and the opposing team has a surplus of players (multiple players resting on the bench), our committee staff will advise the coaches and referees that a player-share is needed.

The Solution: The team with the extra players will be asked to kindly lend one player to the team that is short.

What Happens Next: The loaned player will be given a different coloured jersey (Guernsey) to wear for the game. Coaches can rotate who this player is each quarter.

Stats Note: On the Basketball Connect app, any fouls or stats for the loaned player will be allocated to a random player on the team they are temporarily playing for.

This approach is all about sportsmanship and ensuring everyone enjoys a challenging and rewarding game!

Thank you to all our members who engaged in the recent feedback processes around our club's constitution and bylaws.

We really appreciate you taking the time out of your busy lives to provide your feedback and help shape the future of this club.

As a result of the feedback we have finalised a new draft constitution. And this constitution will be voted on at the upcoming AGM.

In addition to this we are about to commence work analysing all the feedback about the bylaws and working on a new set of bylaws that will be distributed for your feedback in due course.
