So incredibly proud of all of our junior teams as their season comes to a close! 5 teams in finals, 3 in Grand Finals. What a result!
Congratulations to Div 3 Gold for making a competitive Grand Final! What fantastic games of tennis were played today.
Congratulations to Div 3 Green and Div 5 on their premierships! Div 3 Green beat Div 3 Gold 5 sets to 1, but very tight games played. Div 5 beat Strathalbyn White by just 3 games! Incredible tennis!

Good luck to most of our Seniors starting finals today! And Doubles next week!

This coming Friday night 7th November is our 2nd annual "Showdown". Our 2 Division 3 Junior teams are playing off against each other for points and bragging rights 😉.
Games start at 6pm. Players warming up from 5:45.
All club families welcome to come and watch. Back courts will be open for a hit. Sausages will be cooked on the BBQ by the club. Families encouraged to bring a picnic dinner, drinks and enjoy!
Canteen will be available for drinks, lollies and iceblocks.

Huge congratulations for Steve Blewett and Tash Semple both receiving their Club Life Memberhsip.

Steve has been crucial in securing funding and works completed in our most recent court upgrade with the Netball Club. He has donated so much time, energy and support to the club over the years also! He has played for years, on the committee also, holding key roles. He has led our doubles team for years, organising players for every game and playing with determined skill.

Tash has been an incredible person behind the scenes in our club. On committees for years, always supporting our Junior program also. Her sunshine personality is key in keeping our junior program positive and engaging. She has organised teams, sorted end of season presentations and held numerous committee roles. She has also been a great player for our club, playing for years in different teams.

We are so lucky to have these 2 amazing people supporting our club!! Thank you so much for all your work and determination! 🎾

Super proud of our juniors that were selected and represented GSTA in their interassociation match against HTA today! They represented Under 17, Under 15 and Under 13.
Congratulations Cherry, Charlotte, Amelie, Mackenzie, Lauren and Taylor. Also to long time junior player Ashleigh!! Very proud of you all!

Tonight we have a special game of tennis. Starting from 5.30 onwards, our 2 Div 3 teams are battling it out as a reschedule of their GSTA Saturday game.

It’s with with great sadness that I share the news that John Wesley Tennis club lost a true gentleman and life member of our club.

Norm was a great friend of many and someone who always loved to share a great yarn and joke.

A teacher on and off the court, I’m one of many who learnt a great deal from Norm.

Norm was a long serving President, committee member and life member of John Wesley tennis club.

Our deepest thoughts go out to Fran and family.

Congratulations to Steve Blewett for being awarded the Australia Day Community Service Award for his incredible management of our court upgrade! What an amazing effort, as well as hours and hours of time throughout the whole process! So very proud of him and the community recognition he deserves!
