We celebrated the start of Val Townsend’s 90th year today. Players in the pairs enjoyed some cake, sang the birthday song and celebrated his status at the club as a willing worker and a good bowler. He admits to being a major contributor to the Royal Children’s Hospital Fundraising tin for bowls on the wrong bias. Possibly true! Still a keen competitor.

Another great contest between Heyfield and Stratford today at the winter soup day. Winners were Alan Boyd Rhonda Hall and Lyn Lees playing her first game!
Runners Up team Kirstie and Jason White and Kym Albrecht - both teams from Stratford. Well done to all players and soup makers 🌞🌞

Some Sports Start as a Hobby and End Up Feeling Like Home
