Straight down the front at 22m, come out half way down his back cutting his spine, but the tough little fu**er dragged himself about 80m, no idea how, the arrow went through everything, but put another one in to finish him off within 30 seconds.
Was watching some spikers and seen him about 100m away gave him 1 whistle and he was sprinting in.

Good seasons = Healthy animals
One of the main reasons I started bowhunting was to harvest my own quality meat source 🍖
I gets me excited when I find an animal that is clean for the taking. I took this young boar just before last light on the final evening of our trip up north QLD. There’s nothing better than tasting a pure cut of meat with life force and how their naturally supposed to be raised foraging for their bodies needs 👌

This fella was the biggest pig of the trip and we found him on the first stalk on the first morning wallowed up against a bank. I stalked in for a shot but something told him he had to go. I doubt he winded us and dont think he heard anything cos he pulled up on the other side of the creek and just walked off into the grass up a cattle pad.

We moved in quickly & quietly and found him parked up in the long grass facing back down the creek waiting for whatever had startled him to walk by. Not even 20 yards from where I was standing i nocked an arrow when he casually walked back towards the creek, pausing in a clearing just 15m from me. I sent an arrow, perfectly placed through the heart and he made it not even 10m before dropping.

Its not every day you get to see a boar of this calibre let alone get a second chance at a shot. A proper unit of a pig with wide shoulders & well worn fighting pads. Super happy with the accuracy & punch of the Provider shafts coupled with the Pilot Cut.

What an epic 7day trip up north to the gulf country to hunt big boars with & Caleb. Cheers for the memories fellas 🤙🏹
