When I saw the Screw Pines (Pandanus tectorius var. pedunculatus) on the Sunshine Coast it reminded me of the Screw Pines in the Kimberley (Pandanus spiralis).

I'm looking forward to guiding a tour in the Kimberley again this year with Discovery One in September.

Be quick!
Discovery One have a couple of last minute spots available on the 2 - 13th August trip at a discount. Interested? Contact them for more information.

Did you know that there are 37 species of Pandanus found in Australia?

Can you spot the bird?

Swipe across to see close ups.

These are Bush Turkeys AKA Brush-Turkeys (Alectura lathami)
They are common on the east coast of Australia from Sydney northwards.

They seem very common on the Sunshine Coast.

Have you ever seen these birds?

Have a great weekend ๐Ÿ‘

Gotta love a camping trip in the Great Western Woodlands - the largest temperate forest ON EARTH!
And the western edge only a few hours drive from Perth. It does however extend east past Kalgoorlie.
At this time of year it can be both chilling and warming, depending on the quality of the fire ๐Ÿ”ฅ and the coldness of the night.

This is why some people don't go camping! ๐Ÿ˜ฑ๐Ÿคฃ

Wolf Spiders are found across Australia.

This one wandered through our campsite in the evening, then as I was rolling up my swag, I found it tucked away under a flap of the swag ๐Ÿ˜ฎ๐Ÿคฃ

As I was coaxing it towards a nearby tree, a Butcher bird saw it and scored breakfast. The hunter became the hunted ๐Ÿ˜ฎ๐Ÿ˜ฑ

Bites aren't considered a problem but their size scares some people.
