Olufemi Komolafe is Broken Hill's first winner of the Stawell Gift since 1949. The 21-year-old sprinter and med student took out the men’s final at the iconic 2026 foot race in Western Victoria over the Easter long weekend.

A huge shoutout to Powercor Women’s Gift runner-up Charlotte Nielsen, awarded the Tamsyn Lewis Perpetual Trophy, recognising the standout female athlete across the 70m, 120m and 200m races.

Coming in as the favourite after recording the fastest heat and semi-final times, Charlotte delivered outstanding performances all weekend. Finishing 2nd is tough, but pushing Sha’Carri Richardson all the way on Easter Monday shows just how strong she is.

So close to the crown, but so much to be proud of. A truly memorable performance.
