Grand Master Daher will be visiting Algeria on 25–26 September to lead an intensive technical seminar and conduct the official black belt examination for the dedicated practitioners within the Algeria group.

This seminar will provide students with the opportunity to refine their technique, deepen their understanding of traditional principles, and train directly under Grand Master Daher’s guidance. The black belt examination will be held during this visit, ensuring all candidates are assessed to the highest international standard.

We look forward to supporting the continued growth of Taekwondo in Algeria and celebrating the achievements of all participants.

On behalf of the organising committee, I am proud to invite you to the One Legacy International Taekwon-do Federation (OLITF) Australian National Championships. This premier event will take place from 10–11 October 2026 at the Menai Indoor Sports Centre in New South Wales.

This year's championships are built upon the core pillars of friendship, competition, and the development of current and future generations of martial artists. It serves as a vital platform for our community to unite, challenge their skills, and inspire the next wave of Taekwon-do leaders.

In addition to our traditional events, we are thrilled to announce the historic debut of a never-before-seen event: ITF Ground Techniques sparring. This groundbreaking addition highlights our commitment to evolving the sport while staying grounded in technical excellence.

📰🥋 IN TODAY’S WEEKLY ADVERTISER! 🥋📰

What a fantastic spread in today’s The Weekly Advertiser celebrating the success of our Il Shim International Taekwon-Do Stawell team at the One Legacy International Victorian Open Championship! 👊🏆

39 medals on home soil — 11 gold, 14 silver and 14 bronze! 🥇🥈🥉

But beyond the medals, we are incredibly proud to see our students — from our Little Ninjas through to our black belts — getting recognition for their hard work, courage and commitment.

It was also fantastic to welcome competitors from near and far to Stawell and showcase Taekwon-Do in our local community.

A huge thank you to The Weekly Advertiser and photographer Paul Carracher for coming along and giving our event and competitors such wonderful coverage. 📸📰

And once again, congratulations to ALL our competitors. Enjoy the results, learn from the experience, and then it’s straight back to training. There is always another level to reach! 💪🥋

For some of our team, the next challenge is already approaching…

🥋🌟 WELL DONE, LITTLE NINJAS! 🌟🥋

A huge well done to all our Little Ninjas who participated in the One Legacy ITF 2nd Victorian Open Championship 2026!

We are incredibly proud of every one of you! 👏

For our Little Ninjas, stepping onto the competition floor in front of referees, judges, families and spectators is a BIG achievement. It takes courage and confidence just to get out there and have a go.

There were some fantastic performances, plenty of smiles and, of course, some very proud Little Ninjas showing off their medals! 🏅🏆

But tournaments aren’t just about winning medals. They’re about having a go, learning, building confidence and having fun — and our Little Ninjas certainly did that!

A big thank you to all the parents and families for supporting and encouraging them. ❤️

⭐ Keep training. Keep learning. Keep having fun. And keep being awesome Little Ninjas! ⭐

We are very proud of you all! 🥋👊

🥋 Well done to everyone who competed at the Victorian Open! 🥋

I’m proud of every student who had the courage to step onto the floor and compete. Whether you won a medal or walked away disappointed with a result, you gained something valuable — experience.

Tournaments are an important part of your development in Taekwon-Do. They test you under pressure and show you exactly where you are at.

Now ask yourself:

🥋 What did I do well?
🥋 What could I have done better?
🥋 Where did I make mistakes?
🥋 What do I need to improve before I compete again?

Don’t make excuses for a loss. Own it and learn from it. Maybe your opponent was faster, stronger, more accurate or simply better prepared on the day. Respect that — then get back into training and do something about it.

For those heading to the Australian National Championships in Sydney in October, yesterday was not the finish line. It was preparation.

You now have an opportunity to take everything you learned at the Victorian Open and turn it into improvement.

There are only a few weeks until Nationals. Every training session matters. Every repetition matters. Every correction matters.

Don’t just turn up to training — train with purpose.

Work on the techniques that let you down. Sharpen the things you did well. Improve your fitness, speed, power, timing and confidence.

When you step onto the floor at the Australian Nationals, you don’t want to be thinking, “I should have trained harder.”

You want to know that you prepared as well as you possibly could.

No excuses. No shortcuts.

🔥 Learn from yesterday.
🔥 Train harder today.
🔥 Be better tomorrow.
🔥 Arrive at Nationals ready.

Victorian Open was the lesson. Now let’s put that lesson into practice and come back stronger at the Australian Nationals. 🇦🇺🥋👊
