Is it okay to laugh again after someone dies?
Sometimes one of the strangest moments in grief happens when you suddenly laugh again.
For a few seconds, life feels normal.
Then the guilt arrives.
“Should I be enjoying myself?”
“Does this mean I’m moving on?”
“Am I somehow forgetting them?”
But here’s something important:
Joy doesn’t replace love.
Laughing again doesn’t mean you miss them any less.
Having a good day doesn’t diminish what they meant to you.
And allowing yourself to enjoy life again doesn’t mean you’re leaving them behind.
