Stanthorpe Ladies Golf Redults Wednesday 23 September 2026.

The Stanthorpe ladies were greeted by bitterly cold conditions today. However, despite the freezing weather there were some very healthy scores come in at the end of the round.

Today was a Single Stableford competition and Karen Merritt came in the outright winner with 43 stableford points. Karen has played exceptionally well in her last two rounds and is well on her way to being a very competitive golfer.

Mandy Benussi also had an excellent score and was runner up with 38 stableford points

Pin shots were won by Karen on the 12th, Mandy on the 2/11th, Linda Kelly on the 7/16th and Catherine Fletcher on the 17th

Stanthorpe Golf Report 19.9.26

Beautiful Spring weather greeted a full field of happy Golfers on Saturday. Over the past weeks we have been improving our golf vocabulary. Today’s word is the course ‘Green’. The Green is ‘a smooth area sown with special grasses to prevent the ball from travelling in a straight line.’ We can all attest to the accuracy of that definition.

Congratulations to the Lady Golfers; Lynette Ludlow and Lorraine Evans and Linda Kelly and Filomena Silver as the two Runner Ups. Pin Shots went to Lynette Ludlow (x3!), Nikki Waterworth and Lisa Stuart.

Congratulations to the Men Golfers; Joshua Kerr (from Warwick) and Lyle Bryant. Run Downs to Richard Reardon, Brendon Barker, Geoff Davenport, Rino Piovesan Adam Nicholson (Kyogle) and David Reeves.

Pin Shots to Brendon Barker, Jarrod Irwin, David Reeves Ray Thorn and Barry Hughes (x2).

There are a couple of highlight to mention, firstly, welcome back to Brad and Filomena Silver. Brad is the Club Captain and the Vice Captain is very please to see the Silver’s return from travelling.

The other highlight of the day was an eagle scored by Kris McLennan from the Warwick GC.

Next Saturday is a Canadian Foursomes sponsored by Mal and Terry Howard and the Ladies Competition sponsored by our old friend Mei Bell.

Over the past weeks in this blog page we have been improving our knowledge of golfing terms. Today it is simply to understand what a ‘Golf Course’ is: ‘A Golf Course is the one place where the slowest are those in front and the fastest are those behind.’ This dynamic is indeed ‘Character Forming.’

STANTHORPE GOLF CLUB RESULTS 5/9/2026

The Sponsor for Saturday’s Golf was Mountview Wines. Thank you Mountview Wines and all the members are encouraged to visit and enjoy some of the Granite Belt’s finest wines.


Congratulations also to the Lady winners; Lorraine Evans and Nikki Waterworth with run downs to Mandy Benussi and Helen Jones.

Best Gross score went to Nikki Waterworth who also claimed the least number of Putts.


Congratulations to the Men golfers; what a day for David Reeves to clean up the whole field.
A Champion Golfer playing off a handicap of three. David won the Monthly Medal, the Best Net, the Best Gross, the Least Putts.

Runner Up was Keith Jones and Run Downs to Phil Hawtin, Kev Rowlings, Kaine Doorley, Paul Harvey, Richard Reardon and David Beard (a visitor from Lakelands Golf Club).

Stanthorpe Ladies Golf Results Wednesday 02 September 2026.

Today was the Monthly Medal and Putting Competition, combined with the first round of the Club Championships.

Linda Kelly, continues to demonstrate her excellent golfing abilities and won the Monthly Medal with a very impressive 71 nett. Lynette Ludlow, who also had an excellent round of golf, was runner up with 72 nett. Lynette also won the Putting competition with 31 putts. Lisa Stuart, always a steady, competitive golfer, won the gross event with 89 gross

Pin shots were taken out by Trish Fittock on the 12th, Catherine Fletcher on the 2/11th, Lynette on the 7/16th and Lisa on the 17th.

Stanthorpe Golf Results

The Sponsor for Saturday 29th of August was Michael Thompson. Michael requested a two ball Ambrose with each player required to have nine drives. This form of the game required a great deal of tactical intrigue and players tried to play to their combined strengths. Thank you Michael Thompson.

Congratulations to the winners of the mixed two ball mixed Ambrose; Greg Black and Luke Holden (relatives of Keith and Helen Jones) visiting from Rockhampton.
Runners Up were Brendan Barker and Raymond Adams.
The Run Downs went to Lochie Hendry and Sam Dowie, Gordon Rigden and Barry Jones, Keith Jones and Richard Reardon, Kev Rowlings and P Dudley, Casey Leotta and David Reeves.
