The KPHC arena is OPEN!
A great big space of 35m x 60m, all sand.

$12 per hour (*conditions apply)
HALF PRICE for Sally Engelhardt students.

*Conditions:
- Please park on the driveway only.
- Arena hire is not exclusive. Other riders may be on it at the same time. A great opportunity to ride with others.
- Due to scarce water, a quick hose only, please.
- Please collect all manure and place on manure pile.
- Yards are for hire $15/day or part thereof $20 per weekend or part thereof.
- Any disciplines welcome, but no slide stops on the arena.
- Please fill out waiver forms upon first visit.
- Arena closes at dusk (no lights yet).

Come and watch Sally and Keribee Galileo be put through their Grand Prix moves with one of the world's best trainers!

Our resident rider, trainer and coach, Sally Engelhardt, has secured lesson spots with Martin Plewa!

Based in Germany, Martin is a world-renown trainer, former coach of the German Eventing Team and former head of the Westfalen Riding and Driving School.

Martin is visiting Adelaide in his role as TD of the Adelaide International Horse Trials and has kindly offered to conduct a clinic while he is here.

Lessons are at McLaren Park Equestrian Centre.

ADDRESS
Keribee Performance Horse Centre,
341 Roach Road, Stanley Flat

Google Map’s directions will get you here but it’s easier to take White Hut Road out of Clare, then Roach Road (this will put you on the Eastern end of Roach Road, which is where the KPHC is).

Once you’ve turned left onto Roach Road, you will see a new house being built on your right, and the KPHC is the next property on your right. Drive down Roach Road past the house and you will see a large shed.

PARKING
Those visiting for just the day will park on the Western/Arena side of this shed.
Those camping will park on the house side of the shed.

For those parking on the arena side of the shed, there is a round yard pad in that area. Feel free to drive over this. Be careful of the arena rakes which will be clearly marked.

For those parking on the house side of the shed, you will need to drive right in and turn around.

The stables and yards are near the parking area.

WATER
The hose is in the middle of the two large green tanks by the shed.
Please use this to fill up your horse’s water and for hosing down.
Please hose down on the grass area.

LUNGING
Should you wish to lunge, please do so on the arena itself. It is big enough to cater for another rider and a lunging horse. For safety reasons, keep the lunging circle small (around 10-12 m) if your horse is misbehaving. If all is well, a bigger circle will be fine. When lunging, please move your circle gradually so as not to wear a track into the arena surface.

RIDER FACILITIES
There is a separate bathroom and kitchenette area, called the Groom’s Quarters. The kitchenette is equipped with essentials including fridge, kettle, toaster and stovetop, as well as provisions for tea and coffee. Please feel free to use these facilities during the weekend.

Sally Engelhardt is an SA based Grand Prix rider, trainer and Dressage specialist coach. She has trained her current Grand Prix horse through the levels all the way from breaking-in, working with many well-known German and Australian coaches. Sally works with the German training system and rider position to ensure each rider has a correctly trained horse that is engaged and on the aids.

Hire is not exclusive. There may be other horses on the arena at the same time. KPHC encourages the skill of arena riding in company. Please familiarise yourself with the arena etiquette outlined in subsequent post.
