This is Daniel, he has been training with P1 for about 2 years now! Have a read of his experience and incredible progress! πππ
βIt's incredible to think that it's now been two years since I started training with Aidan Holden at Platinum One Fitness! Furthermore, with my Sydney-based colleagues sadly stranded in lockdown, now seems as good a time as any to reflect on my own fitness journey during the Melbourne lockdown last year.
Before Covid, finding the motivation to train had never been an issue, but I lacked direction and purpose due to my (infamous) eating anxiety and body insecurities. Aidan helped me overcome these issues by focusing on my strengths as a creative artist, and allowed me to experiment until I found a program I could complete within his diet and training parameters. We would then evaluate my solutions and progress whenever I was able to next visit Sydney.
Happily, Zoom PT sessions and home workouts have streamlined this process further, eliminating the interstate tyrrany of distance, and allowing for more frequent monitoring of my progress. It has also ensured a greater emphasis on correct technique, and that I still fully exert myself using nothing but my own body weight, some resistance bands, and a pullup bar.
The results, particularly within the last 6-12 months have been surreal. My back and shoulders immediately became stronger, and this in turn enabled more advanced core, leg, and full-body exercises. For the first time ever, I could also complete pullups unassisted.
The biggest gains occurred once I switched to an increased cardio, reduced calorie intake program. Since March, I have lost 10kg, and can now consistently run 10km in less than 55min. In statistical terms, I am easily the healthiest I have ever been both physically and mentally.
I cannot thank Aidan enough for the role he has played in this transformation, not only as my PT, but a friend and confidant. I also cannot recommend Platinum One Fitness highly enough for both my Sydney-based residents, as well as those wacky enough like myself to embrace home workouts and long-distance training via Zoom!β
