Following an incredible 10 seasons in charge, Glenn Lalor has stepped down as Head Coach of St Kilda Cricket Club.
During his tenure, Glenn has overseen a remarkable period of sustained success and growth, helping establish the club as one of the premier powerhouses in Victorian cricket. Under his leadership, the club has secured four Club Championships — including four in the past five years — along with back-to-back First XI premierships. Success has also extended throughout the program, with multiple premierships across the Second, Third and Fourth XIs, as well as the U18s and Dowling Shield.
During Glenn’s time as Head Coach of the men’s program, the club also introduced its women’s teams, who have gone on to achieve outstanding success — highlighted by this season’s First XI premiership, a significant milestone in the club’s history.
Beyond the on-field achievements, Glenn’s greatest legacy lies in the culture he has helped build. His leadership, standards and commitment have laid the foundations for the club’s ongoing success, and we are incredibly grateful for his contribution. We thank Glenn for his outstanding service to St Kilda Cricket Club and wish him all the very best in the next chapter.
As we farewell Glenn, we are pleased to announce that Steve Zayler has been appointed as Head Coach.
A Life Member of the club, Steve has been a central figure throughout this successful period, working closely alongside Glenn since the beginning of his tenure. His deep understanding of the club and its values ensures the program remains in strong hands moving forward.
St Kilda Cricket Club congratulate Steve on his appointment and look forward to the next phase of the club’s journey under his leadership.
