Messages like this never get old.

This client had lived with neck pain for 10 years.

She’d tried countless approaches in search of relief and had even undergone surgery.

Then after her first Neuro-Training session, she sent me a message saying she was brought to tears because it was the first time in a decade she wasn’t experiencing neck pain.

Stories like this are why I do what I do.

Every person’s experience is unique, but it’s incredible to witness what’s possible when the nervous system is given the right input.

I wasn’t planning on posting these photos. They’re just real photos from my camera roll.

Most were snapped quickly before dinner, halfway through eating, or sent to my family group chat with a message like, “Yum!” or “Remind me to make this again.”

Then I saw defending a healthy nutritious family meal she’d shared online after it was criticised for not looking impressive enough.

It made me think about the pressure we’ve created around food.

These meals aren’t styled.
Some are messy.
Some are repetitive.
Some were thrown together from whatever was left in the fridge.

But they’re real.

They’re nutritious, enjoyed, and the kinds of meals that actually get made on busy days.

Health isn’t built on perfectly curated plates or Instagram-perfect meals. It’s built on the habits you can repeat week after week.

Here’s to more real food, less pressure, and remembering that “good enough” is often exactly what we need.

Warrior III hot take:

The position of your back foot doesn’t tell me whether your pelvis is level.

A common cue is “turn the back toes down.” The intention is usually to prevent the pelvis from opening to the side.

But the pelvis and the hip joint are not the same thing.

Your pelvis position and your lifted-leg hip rotation can change independently of each other. So all of these are possible:

✓ Pelvis level + neutral hip = toes point down
✓ Pelvis open + internally rotated hip = toes point down
✓ Pelvis open + neutral hip = toes point out
✓ Pelvis dropped + externally rotated hip = toes point down

So “toes down” doesn’t guarantee pelvic alignment.

If your goal is a traditional Warrior III shape, look instead at the front of the pelvis. Are both ASIS (hip points) approximately the same distance from the floor?

And while we’re at it, the ankle doesn’t need to be in any particular position either. Dorsiflexion (flexed foot) and plantar flexion (pointed toes) are both valid choices depending on what you’re trying to create in the pose.

The foot is easy to see. The pelvis is what we’re actually trying to organise.

Triangle Pose - Part 1: Benefits

Not all Triangle Poses feel the same — because they’re not designed for the same intention.

A shorter stance can create more opening through the top hip.
A longer stance may increase the stretch through the front leg hamstrings.
And changing the arm position can completely shift the demand through the core and thoracic rotation.

Small changes in alignment can create very different experiences in the body.

This is why I love exploring yoga through an anatomical lens rather than a one-size-fits-all approach 🤍
