Last month, the MUA Training School at St Georges Basin was reopened to members. Many hundreds of MUA members as well are veterans of our industry from the SUA and the WWF will remember learning about trade union struggle, honing their organising and campaign skills, and sharing ideas about how to tackle workplace injustice and inequality.The first sessions held in the days after the official reopening was an ITF Womens Conference bringing together women transport workers from across the globe to share ideas, strategies and plans for strengthening our collective muscle in the workplace in a globally interconnected industry.

The school has had a tidy up. During the bushfire crisis a clear out had to be done to make safe from ember attack but now work is continuing to bring the basin back to glory.
