Progress with your training 🙇‍♀️

​It's very easy to stay in your comfort zone! Week in week out perform the same exercises, at the same weight and not really give too much thought about what you are doing.

Now if your goal is to gain muscle or build your strength and your doing the above well I'm sorry to say but you won't be progressing anywhere! The most key and important step you should be taking to help with your progression is logging your sessions. Buy yourself a note pad, use your notes section on your phone. Just record what you do! By
doing this it will allow you to each week see the weight/numbers you should be aiming to hit or ever better exceed!

The next important step, have a set training plan!
​If you are chopping and changing between exercises and not following a specific plan to help you achieve your target then what you do in the gym isn't going to be very useful.

The final step is.. Give yourself time and be patient.
​Nothing is going to happen over night and you shouldn't expect to see a huge jump in strength each week. Look at training as a journey rather than a race!

Foods that can inflame symptoms

​SALT: By decreasing your salt intake during luteal phase it may decrease bloating and fluid retention often associated with PMS.

​GLUTEN & DAIRY: Some women experience reduced symptoms after changing to an anti-inflammatory diet.

​HIGH CAFFEINE: Having high caffeine doses can cause irritability, lack of sleep and menstrual cramps.

​ALCOHOL: Alcohol can stop or cause irregular menstrual cycles because it increases levels of hormones like oestrogen and testosterone, and sometimes the luteinising hormone. This causes a hormonal imbalance, which in turn can affect whether your period occurs, how long it lasts, and how heavy it is.

To improve your lifestyle it's about turning up everyday, even on your bad days. Consistency over a long period of time will always get you sustainable results mentally and physically.

COCONUT PROTEIN BALLS 🥥

​Ingredients:
​Coconut flakes unsweetened
Rolled Oats
Vanilla protein powder
Extra virgin coconut oil
Coconut extract

​How To:
​Reserve 2 tablespoons of coconut flakes for rolling.
Pulse the remaining ingredients in a blender in short bursts.
Scrape down the bowl and pulse again until mostly smooth.
Use a cookie scoop to portion out the batter and roll it into balls.
Roll each ball in reserved shredded coconut flakes.
