WELCOME JACK GIBSON ⭐️

We’re excited to welcome Jack Gibson to Springvale Districts for season 2027!

Jack joins us from Black Rock following an outstanding debut season of senior footy, booting just shy of 60 goals for the Jets and earning himself Team of the Year honours.

A lively and dangerous small forward, Jack developed his craft at Assumption College and has also gained valuable experience training at VFL level.

At just (almost) 19 years of age, Jack brings plenty of talent, excitement and potential to our young group. We can’t wait to see him take his footy to the next level as he makes the step up to Division 1.

Happy Sunday… Lily is BACK!!

Lily Cooper is a key pillar of our Springy netball club and community, and we are stoked to have her back in red & blue for 2027!

After finishing runner-up in last year’s Best & Fairest, Lily went one better this season to take out the top gong, all while stepping up as co-captain and leading from the front.

A supremely talented netballer with more accolades than we can count, including representing Australia in indoor netball and winning a VNL Development premiership this year, Lily brings a wealth of experience, leadership and passion to our side.

We’re so lucky to call her one of our own. Bring on another big year, Lil!

DOUBLE TROUBLE!!!

We’re thrilled to have Brody Ledder and Cory Hutchinson recommit to Springvale Districts for season 2027.

Both have been part of our club for many years and continue to be important figures both on and off the field. Their leadership, experience and commitment to the club will be invaluable as we enter an exciting new era at Springvale.

Having quality people like these two sticking around is exactly what we’re building on, and we can’t wait to see what they bring in 2027.

BLAKE COCHRANE IS A DEMON.

We are stoked to welcome Blake Cochrane to the dees as a playing assistant coach for 2027.

Blake brings a serious football résumé, with four Senior Best & Fairest awards in 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2026, including East Brighton’s premiership year in 2023, plus multiple Team of the Year selections.

Having played at East Brighton from 2018–2025, Blake captained the club in 2024 and served as vice-captain in 2022, 2023 and 2025. He joins us fresh off a Best & Fairest season at Avondale Heights in 2026.

His experience and leadership will be a massive addition both on the field and alongside our coaching group, and we cannot wait to see the impact he makes in our new era.
