We’re stoked to announce that Ky Allcock has recommitted to Springvale Districts for the 2027 season! ❤️💙

Our 2025 Demon of the Year and one of the club’s young guns, Ky has already shown plenty of promise and was deservedly awarded Most Potential. After battling back strongly from injury, he’s ready to hit 2027 bigger and better! 👀

Loved by his teammates and everyone around the club, Ky brings plenty of energy, talent and personality both on and off the field and we reckon his best footy is still ahead of him😈🔥

We’re stoked to have Shakore Bragg-Taylor recommit for the 2027 season!😈❤️💙

Shak has been a massive part of our backline, consistently bringing his strength, composure and competitiveness to every game. After finishing runner-up in our 2025 B&F, he’s shown exactly what he’s capable of.

While injury limited his time on the field this season, Shak continued to show up, support his team mates and lead by example🙌🏻

Springvale Districts is thrilled to announce Sean Allcock as our 2027 Senior Coach 😈❤️💙

Sean’s football journey started as a junior at Springvale YCW, before returning to Springvale Districts as a player and captain. Now, he returns to the club in a new role, leading our Senior Football program.

Known throughout his playing days for his work ethic, preparation and hard edge, Sean is ready to bring those same standards to our current playing group.

With AFL Level 2 accreditation and more than 20 years’ experience leading Haileybury’s APS & AFSV football programs, Sean brings a wealth of coaching, leadership and high-performance experience. His work has included developing player pathways, strengthening football programs and championing player development, wellbeing and education.

We’re incredibly excited to welcome Sean into the role and see the energy, experience and expertise he’ll bring to Springvale Districts in 2027

GEORGE ANGELOPOULOS — ONE LAST DANCE

300+ games. 3 premierships. Countless memories. One incredible clubman.

This weekend, we celebrate the final game of an absolute Springvale Districts great, with George Angelopoulos calling time on an incredible football career.

George’s football journey speaks for itself. 2x premiership player at Noble Park and a premiership player at Springvale Districts. But perhaps his greatest contribution has been the impact he has had on those around him, particularly the time he has invested in helping develop and coach our players throughout the week.

Always willing to share his knowledge, challenge teammates and help make those around him better, George has played a huge role in the development of our playing group.
Since joining Springy in 2018, George has been an enormous part of our journey from Division 3 to Division 1, contributing not only with his performances on the field, but through his leadership, experience and unwavering commitment to the club.

He is the epitome of a heart-and-soul player and you simply couldn't ask more of a player or a clubman.

There have been countless wins, battles, laughs and memories along the way, but it’s the people George has influenced that will be his lasting legacy long after his playing days are over.
Thank you, George, for everything you've given to this club. ❤️💙

Now let's give him the send-off he deserves.

150 GAMES — ALEX “LECKA” HANG

A huge congratulations to Lecka on reaching 150 games!

A great servant of the club both on and off the field, Lecka has shown plenty of resilience, determination and loyalty throughout his time at Springy.

A crafty wingman whose footy has continued to grow year after year, highlighted by his 2021 Thirds Best & Fairest, Lecka has become a highly valued Reserves player and much-loved teammate.

And of course, one of the club’s more regular rotational hair stylists.

It may not have been the season the boys hoped for, but week after week, they continued to show up, put in the work and put on a show. We couldn’t be prouder of the commitment and fight they’ve shown throughout the year. 👏

A massive thank you and congratulations to Kris Thompson who’ll be coaching his final game for Springvale Districts this Saturday ❤️💙

Kris, your contribution to this club has been enormous, and we’re incredibly grateful for everything you’ve given over the years

And of course a huge thank you also to Tony Cooper and Greg Scott for their endless work behind the scenes throughout the season. From the things seen by everyone to the countless things that happen behind closed doors, you’ve both given up your time, energy and weekends to give everything you can to this football club- we appreciate you and all of your work 😈💙❤️

Coach Hollie:
“This team has faced its fair share of obstacles this season, from injuries to changes in the lineup, but one thing has never changed: their willingness to work hard and give it their all every single week. Their journey to this week’s Grand Final is a reflection of their perseverance, teamwork, and belief in each other”

Coach Kiley:
“C1 have really come together as a team this season, building trust, connection and belief in each other. We’ve learned to back one another, celebrate the wins and lift each other up when things get tough. This Saturday is our chance to put it all out there, play for each other and enjoy the moment”
