With the final of the Dave Middleton 100m hcp scheduled and the lights at the track on the blink, we decided to start events 30 mins earlier than usual. This decision turned out fortuitous with all events completed as the light dimmed and a bit of drizzle set it. Last night we wished Cassie a very happy birthday 🎉🥳 as she enters as the youngest in her new age group.
With some fine handicapping, the final of the 100m hcp had a very exciting finish. Helen ran superbly to take the lead at 10m to go only to be passed at the 5m mark by her son Alan. Final placings were 1st Alan Anderson, 2nd Helen Anderson and 3rd Cassie Jacobs. Congratulations to all place getters and thanks to handicapper Paul Winterton.
Don’t forget this weekend to wear the green and be seen at The Pharlap Track parkrun.
