I will be doing discreet drop offs in Lake Mac today and tomorrow, ready for Christmas Day!

We can do vouchers for kayak hire or sup hire, or a voucher for an amount to keep it open for the recipient to choose.

We do gift vouchers, valid for 3 years. These can be delivered locally this week discretely, or posted to you on the day of purchase.

You can elect an amount, or give a voucher for a particular experience. Equipment is delivered to the recipient’s location of choice on the lake and they can contact us to book at a time convenient to them.

Lake Mac Kayak & Bike Hire are partnering with Maitland City Council to bring kayak and stand up paddleboard hire to the hunter this summer!

Come down and hire a kayak or stand up paddleboard at Lorn Beach and explore the still waters of the Hunter River. Access to this activity will be through Bowden Street.

Participants will be able to hire out the watercrafts for an hour while spectators will be able to sit on the sand of the riverbank in a comfy beach chair.

If you need a break from the water, come enjoy some beach volleyball on the sand!

Aqua hire will be operating from 9.00am – 2.00pm every Wednesday to Sunday from:

Thursday 6 January – Sunday 9 January
Wednesday 12 January -Sunday 16 January
Wednesday 19 January – Sunday 23 January

After being unable to operate for some time and receiving mixed messages, we are happy to finally get some clarity and be able to open the books back up. If you would like to organise some COVID-Safe recreation, please note the following:

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Bookings must be for groups of your own household, or no more than two people from separate households.
🏞 Please only make a booking if you live within the Lake Macquarie LGA or the location is within 5km of your home while restrictions are in place.
🚣‍♂️ Additional cleaning will be undertaken for all watercraft hired, before and after bookings.
✅ QR check in required at any location
🧏‍♀️ We must sight photo ID to ensure compliance with NSW Health guidelines.

GONE BOATING
🚤 After answering at least 12.7 million Facebook questions about this issue, we finally have some clear rules on boating, jet skis, boat repairs etc.
🐠 And that doesn’t include the 12.7 million questions on fishing - yes, is the answer, with one person from a different household, or with all members of your own household, within the Lake Mac LGA, which includes the lake! 😁
🛳 Please also remember that when reading the rules below, Lake Mac is not an ‘area of concern’.
