A reminder to all athletes and coaches that entries to the 2026 Coast2Coast Meet close at 11:59pm on Tuesday 23rd June.
This year NO LATE ENTRIES will be accepted.
Athletes can enter by going to the Gold Coast Victory website - https://goldcoastvictory.com.au/coast2coast
Medals will be awarded to the top three place getter in each age group.
This year the US group is strongly targeting the Under 18 and Under 20 age groups.
Given the entries received to date, in the Under 20 Women’s events the US athletes look to clean up in the 400m, 800m, 1500m and 300m hurdles events as no Aussies have registered for those events as yet. In the field events we have no under 20 women in the triple jump, pole vault or shot put yet.
In the Under 20 men’s events the US have brought out a lot of track athletes, but we have no Aussies as yet entered for the 400m, 800m, 1500m, 3000m, 110m hurdles or 300m hurdles. In the field we have 3 or fewer Aussies entered in the high, long, triple, pole, shot and javelin.
Let’s get our under 20 men out there to take it up to the Americans!
In the under 18 women we have some Aussies entered in many events, but no one as yet to compete against the Americans in the 1500m, 3000m, steeplechase or javelin.
In the Under 18 men’s events the Aussie numbers stack up reasonably well against the Americans but at the moment there are still small numbers in the 400m, 1500m, 3000m and steeple and not many under 18 Aussies in the jumps and throws.
Looking forward to processing all the Aussie entries which historically tend to come in a rush as the closing date approaches.
