🏅 MEDAL MONDAY! 🏅

Another fantastic weekend of running is in the books, and as always, the Fordy Runs Running Club community has been out in force! 🙌🧡

One of the major highlights of the weekend was The Big Half in London, with thousands taking on the iconic 13.1-mile route through the capital. Huge congratulations to everyone who made their way from Tower Bridge towards that famous finish in Greenwich! 🏙️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

Closer to home, there was plenty of racing action too, with our runners taking on events in Grays, Takeley and Banbury 🏃‍♂️💨 There was even a run around a theme park!

And of course, that wasn't all! Wherever our members were racing this weekend, there were medals earned, finish lines crossed, PBs chased and plenty of memories made. 🥳🏅

Whether you were taking on a huge city half marathon, supporting a local race, running a parkrun or representing the club elsewhere, we're incredibly proud of every single one of you! 🧡

🌟 MEMBER SPOTLIGHT – MEET ALI! 🌟

It’s time to shine the spotlight on another amazing member of the Fordy Runs community… Ali Heron! 🏃‍♀️🩷

From joining her first ever running club, to taking on 10Ks, half marathons and now having some BIG goals ahead, Ali’s story is a brilliant example of what our community is all about.

Running also means so much more to Ali, helping her raise awareness for charities close to her heart following the loss of both her parents to cancer. ❤️

And apparently we’ve now got her heading to Lanzarote too… we’re blaming Jemma for that one! 😂🌴

Our extreme parkrun UK delivered everything we love - sun, fun and friends from the North at Fleetwood Promenade to the South at Hunstanton Promenade 🌊

Tutus, inflatables and big smiles made both events feel like pure Saturday‑morning magic ✨

Our Fordy Runs Member Spotlight is back, and this week we’re getting to know Matt! 👋

Running means different things to all of us. For some, it’s chasing PBs. For others, it’s the social side, the adventures, the challenge — or simply having an excuse to get out of the house! 😂

Matt shares his running journey, favourite sessions, fuel, shoes, motivation and the goals he’s still chasing.

And yes… that sub-4 marathon is still on the radar! 👀⏱️

This is exactly why we love our community — different runners, different journeys, one amazing community. 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️❤️

The Unity 5K brought brilliant energy to Birmingham as part of the European Athletics Championship celebrations. 🎉

Thousands of runners took on a 5K route through the city centre, using the same roads as the championship marathon earlier that day. From first‑timers to seasoned racers, everyone showed up with smiles, determination and plenty of support for one another. 💛

It was everything we love about running - unity, encouragement and shared joy on the roads. Huge well done to everyone who took part! ✨
