Its a beautiful, sunny Saturday morning so what better way to get out and enjoy it than with a parkrun! We had Fordys flying the flag all over the country and the world!
Today also saw a special occasion as Bev and Neil from the Suffolk satellite group are getting married and started their day off with a run at Christchurch Park.

Do satellite clubs just meet and run then go home?

When Beth started the Carlisle satellite group, one thing really stood out - the closest defib was miles away.

After seeing how important they are at events like parkrun, she knew they needed one in the area. 🩷

Last year with others, she got stuck in with some fundraising including a live music night and a coffee morning. All together they raised around £1,200. 🎉

This weekend the defib was installed on the wall of The Near Boot (where the satellite group meets) and it’s now registered on the national defib network.

It’s something you hope never gets used, but so important to have there as it can be life-saving. 📍

Really proud of what has been achieved together as a community. 🥰

What a brilliant day at the Leeds 10K this weekend!

One of the most iconic 10K events in the country delivered once again, with thousands of runners taking to the streets and creating an incredible atmosphere from start to finish.

It was fantastic to see so many club members representing us so proudly. Whether you were chasing a PB, aiming for a season's best, ticking off another race, or simply enjoying the experience, there was something to celebrate for everyone.

The support around the course was amazing, helping our runners push through the tough moments and enjoy the buzz that makes Leeds 10K such a special event. There were plenty of strong performances, some impressive PBs, and lots of smiles crossing the finish line.

What stood out most was the club spirit on display. Members running together, encouraging one another, sharing race-day nerves, and celebrating achievements afterwards—it's exactly what our community is all about.

A huge congratulations to everyone who took part and represented the club so brilliantly. Every runner has their own story and goal, and we're proud of every single one of you.

Enjoy the recovery, wear those medals with pride, and we'll see you all at the next start line! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

Another weekend full of some more amazing running by the Fordy Runs gang.
We had some hot and sunny running along the sea front in Southend, some scenic running between 2 castles and some ultra distance running as some conquered The Wall.

Wherever you ran, well done for getting out. You turned up in numbers and smashed it.

We’re excited to announce another satellite location for the FORDY RUNS Running Club, bringing our supportive, social, and absolutely FREE of charge inclusive running community to Sunderland!

Today we celebrate the global movement that brings millions of runners together across every pace, every distance, and every background.

Whether you’re walking, volunteering, racing, building your endurance, returning from injury, getting into running, or simply running for mental wellbeing, Global Running Day is your reminder that every step and run matters.

At FORDY RUNS Running Club, we’re proud to be part of a growing worldwide running community that believes in consistency over perfection, community over competition, and progress over pressure and of course strong advocates of removing all barriers of entry to running.

Running isn’t just training, for some it’s life, It’s early mornings, late evenings, rainy miles, and the simple joy of movement.

Today we celebrate YOU, our members, followers, supporters, and every runner out there putting one foot in front of the other.

We also thank every single member that make up the satellites system, committee, volunteering structure, welfare, MH Champions, event organisers, socials creators and so so much more for making FRRC what it is and where it is today ❤️
