When I was peak PT mode I was tracking cals, training almost daily, 10k+ daily steps with ease

Aka doing all the things we’re told to be fit and healthy

But at times I was also doing 60+ hour weeks and driving an hour each way from where I was working (Frankston to South Melbourne)

Pretty much meaning that the only way I could fit in everything; clients, training, social calendars and before that, a masters in Dietetics while working full time - was to routinely sacrifice my sleep.

I did this for SO long I had the narrative of in order to cope with the fact that my body was hanging on by a thread.

Literally. PCOS was next level dysregulated. For someone was seriously strong & fit, I had stomach fat and insane puffyness that changed my whole face shape. (I’ll post this in the coming days, stay tuned 👀)

Plus just the overall daily battle where everything in life just felt seriously hard, because I was so depleted. And masking this SO WELL because I couldn’t be a PT who had no energy/hated life…

So ya know, just add fuel to the fire 🔥 for that one.

Anyway, fast forward 7 years and here we are with the utmost respect for sleep habits and routines; because of its direct role in metabolic health, fat loss profiles, daily function and mood regulation.

And it’s one of the biggest pillars in my coaching model for this reason and a hill I will die on 👇🏽

You cannot sustain a healthy metabolism, hormonal profiles, insulin sensitivity and fat loss without proper sleep habits.

To help others with exactly this, I’ve poured hours of work into creating a super effective 21 day coaching program to begin fixing your sleep and supporting your metabolism using the same methods proven by 100’s of my clients.

DM me the word “sleep” and I’ll send you access!

You really can “work your ass off” and still not get the results you want.

This is true, it’s not just a marketing ploy people use to get you into coaching or programs

(Legit not lost of me that I’m plugging my services at the end of this post 😂)

But this post is probably the best example of metabolic adaptation in its finest form

And why “just eating well” but not knowing your numbers is not a strategy that works for everyone

Nor is intermittent fasting

Or skipping on protein (or carbs)

I’m STOKED to start working with this client.
Big work hours plus a big training load means a body that is going to absolutely dominate with proper nutrition & recovery practices 🚀🚀

This is what I love doing. Getting people to eat more, eliminate dysfunction and feel 10 x more energised; plus drop the unwanted body fat.

My exact approach:
• Blood work assessment & relevant supplementation to address deficiencies
• Personalised nutrition performance plan with additional resources for changing environments
• Evaluation of daily schedule - work & training demands
• Sleep routines & parasympathetic nervous system support (essential to maximise daily recovery)
• Daily communication for easy Q&A - driving results in real time
• Direct collaboration with this client via zoom to for maximum support & accountability ✔️✔️

You can have it all when you stop guessing 💪🏼

P.s It’s not actually about the bum 🍑

Whilst this is a priority for my current training program, it’s moreso that so many women and mums forego their own training, health and self-care because they’re too busy looking after everyone else.

Then no wonder we feel tired all the time, moody AF and generally feel crap about ourselves then struggle with feeling confident in our bodies postpartum?

I say “we” because I’ve gone through my own phases of this, despite being a coach and dietitian - even I have struggled with time and motivation to consistently train.

Until I realised that this was exactly what had to change.

Exercise (be it weights, running, swimming, walking, pilates) is the BEST tool you have to both improve your mood at the time (thanks endorphins 😮‍💨) and overall regulation of mood swings due to better nervous system support.

So when I say “mums who have nice bums correlate to a better mood” that’s because nice bums 🍑 require consistent weight training week in, week out. Muscle can only be built with consistency & progressive overload (plus protein & carbs 😘)

Not only that, you’re routinely creating much needed time for yourself to move your body, and this s**t is as good as therapy tbh. Let alone how much better you FEEL when you love the physique you see in the mirror - a mood booster in itself when you’re feeling confident and actually taking care of yourself. 🤍

My programs offer training paired with nutrition for this exact reason. It should be a part of EVERY person’s lifestyle and any-all health programs.

Make sure to share to anyone that’s been holding out on their training & needs to improve their mood 😘 don’t forget to follow for more x

Navigating our own nutrition, our own health, our bodies - should be easier.

But none of us were ever really taught a clear cut approach as to how that didn’t involve trying 16 different clean-eating plans and a boat load of exhaustion first 😫

Truth is, this is why I studied my masters in Dietetics. I needed help with my food, body image, disordered eating - the whole shebang, and the information/support I had access to at the time was 💩 and so I got superrrr qualified so I could finally provide this exact service to 100’s of women.

Meaning no more jumping through hoops to get results.
No more winging it.
No more binge & restrict.
No more “starting again on Monday”

Just nutrition made simple; and strategies tailored to you.

I have two levels of support in my Metabolic Reset coaching model.

Nutrition. Training. Bloodwork. Supplements. A huge library of resources. Recipes & Snack sheets galore.

But did you know that your metabolism and your results depends on more than just training & nutrition?

Which is exactly why I have education & quick implementation plans on sleep, stress, hydration, daily routines, social settings, nervous system regulation and self-connection.

Everything that totally transforms your health and habits to become a reimagined version of yourself 🥹 that’s the point.

So if you’re ready to gain your life and your body back, DM me “Reset” and we’ll get the ball rolling xx

This just erks me 🫠

It’s such a thing of early 2010’s when clean eating diet plans peaked, but the terminology is still circulated 15+ years later and our clients are the victims 😞

No food isn’t inherently good or bad

There will be foods that make you feel and function better everyday

But you can still enjoy moderated take-out, chocolate, ice cream etc. without having to abstain because some idiot put it on a “No no” list, making you feel guilty AF if you end up eating it.

Welcome to the genesis of eating disorders.

It’s never about the food, but rather how it makes you feel about and within yourself.

Polarising, ultra-restrictive clean eating diets are really fu***ng good at making you feel like s**t if you eat anything but lettuce on Greek yoghurt with rice cakes 🤦🏼‍♀️

So whether you, as someone trying to navigate their own nutrition, or a coach in the industry, are still using this terminology; it will be incredibly beneficial for your own relationship with food to stop.

Food is food.
How you feel about the food you put into your body are emotions & narratives you can control and unlearn.

P.s anyone that tells you that you can’t eat cheese, yoghurt, or pasta, even in a dieting phase can get 🖕

If you can’t slow down but also worried about drowning - this is exactly for you.

Crazy what can happen when you step out of survival mode and actually learn how to use your health and better lifestyle management to support big work weeks, alongside a family/personal life.

I hated being told you can’t do it all.

You can and I’ve proved it, in myself and 100’s of high achieving clients that want a big life.

Swipe through - point 5 is definitely my favourite.

Don’t forget to actually put this into action, this is the exact advice I give to my clients- alongside their specific nutrition & supps protocols and personal strategies to help with stress management and headspace.

It works.

But if you struggle to implement these things for yourself, don’t let this become another saved post on Instagram and actually reach out.

I have two levels of coaching in my Restore program & Metabolic Reset. Both are designed for high-achieving women who want to feel, perform and look their best.
