We’re hiring! This season is off to a flyer so we’re on the hunt for someone that can join our team in South Melbourne.
If you’re good with people and great at listening, then we really want to hear from you!
While we do have casual roles available, ideally we’re looking for someone chasing a full on career in flyfishing.
Flyfishing retail done well is a real trade. You learn rods, lines, reels, tying materials, waders, boots, packs. You learn how to rig a customer up properly and send them out with the best chance of catching fish. You learn how to run stock, handle warranties, build displays, talk to suppliers, and hold your own on the shop floor with someone who has been flyfishing for 40 years.
That takes time. Which is why we ideally want someone at the start of their working life who genuinely wants to stick around and learn.

Shark fishing is the term used to describe a popular lake polaroiding technique that Jim Allen pioneered. It’s very visual, unbelievably addictive, and for Jim and many others it remains one of the most exciting forms of flyfishing.
