MCC Hockey Section is represented at the highest level of club hockey in Melbourne by the Men's and Women's Premier League teams. Teams are also entered in the Hockey Victoria Senior, Masters and Junior competitions, and new players are always w

elcome. MCC Hockey Section also offer Hookin2Hockey programs for children wishing to start playing hockey from age 4 upwards.

FIXTURES
After a weekend off our teams are ready to hit the pitch, with a big Saturday at home with our pennant teams, and our PL and Reserves heading out to Hawthorn!

Last night we were lucky enough to have our junior academy mix with our PL teams prior to and during the matches.

Before the WPL game the academy played some fun small sided games with a few PL/R players before getting a group photo with the WPL team! The kids were also able to clap on the Camberwell and MCC teams and perform the coin flip.

While the women were playing, the kids had a little Q and A session with a few of our former and current junior Australian representatives from the men’s PL team all while snacking some food provided by the canteen and GyG. Thanks again to and for supporting our junior program. Hopefully we get to see these little superstars running around for MCC for many years to come 🔴🔵

Red White & Blue- Women in Leadership at the MCG 🔴🔵

The second instalment of the Red White & Blue networking series was a fantastic success, bringing together members of the MCC Hockey community and broader network at the Committee Room at the MCG for an engaging morning focused on Women in Leadership.

The panel shared honest and insightful conversations around leadership, navigating change, managing teams and building careers across a range of industries and organisations.

A huge thank you to our outstanding panel:

•⁠ ⁠Harriet Christopherson – Senior operations leader overseeing major infrastructure programs across Victoria and Tasmania
•⁠ ⁠Margaret Crawford PSM – Former NSW Auditor-General and nationally respected governance leader
•⁠ ⁠Tina Paterson – Founder of Outcomes Over Hours and global advisor on hybrid leadership and productivity
•⁠ ⁠Mary Waldron – Non-Executive Director across organisations including Bank of Queensland, Zurich Australia and Crown Melbourne

Beyond the panel itself, the morning highlighted the value of networking and creating stronger connections across the hockey section and wider sporting community.
