Another year of the Darren Lowder Memorial Regatta on Trial Bay, South West Rocks is done. Almost perfect weather, except for light to very little breeze was the order of the weekend. Barring the light breeze everyone enjoyed sailing on or swimming in the beautiful crystal clear waters of Trial Bay. There were several reported turtle sightings. Congratulations to Lewis and Anthony taking out the memorial trophy on Frightening Mc Mean, Captain Morgan in 2nd and Daz 23 in 3rd. Congrats also to Beau and James taking home the F18 travellers series.
Thanks to all those who attended, it was great to see you all here again. Even those who came without boats to just enjoy a relaxing weekend. Thanks to the Brian’s for running start boat and bringing boats up. Neil and Bill manning rescue boat. And the family on the beach. A great weekend was had by all.
Next year the regatta will be 13-14 March. Help us celebrate the 30th anniversary of the passing of a fellow sailor. Hope to see you all there.
