South West Rocks Anglers Association SWRAA Inc. is a local fishing group with a focus on fishing clinics/competitions for all ages. Only one of each species is required. Happy fishing!

Welcome to the Official South West Rocks Anglers Association Inc Page. We are a family-oriented fishing club and invite all to participate in our clinics and competition days. Our aim is to promote the preservation of the Macleay Waterways as an ecologically sustainable Fishing Haven now and into the future. Competitions

The 3rd weekend of each month with weigh-in day on the Sunday. Fishing in th

e competition begins at 6pm Friday afternoon with all catches to be at the weigh in at
the Rocks Country Club by 12:00 md-1230pm on Sunday. All fish are to be line caught, gutted and gilled and kept on ice in good condition. Minimum size
limits supplied by NSW Fisheries are to be observed and a 30cm general minimum for all species. Divisional prizes will be awarded to the contestant who catches the most species during the
competition. Ties will be decided by weighing the total bag. We have also introduced an Advanced Angler Division. Our divisions include:

Advanced Angler
Senior Men
Senior Ladies
Junior Boys
Junior Girls
Minnow Boys
Minnow Girls

All members will need to be a member of the Rocks Country Club and the SWRAA in order to
participate in competitions. Damien

Saturday was looking good for a social fish on Smoky Beach. Club members met up at 1 pm for a beach worming session, followed by soft plastic fishing for flatties, then a fish on the rising tide with bait and ending with tailor spinning.
Nice to see a few whiting which have been noticeably absent for a while.
As it turned out we needed snorkel gear to catch the worms but a good feed to come. Just some of our catch! 😀
