On Sunday, I ran the Brisbane Half Marathon and for the first time, it felt easy.

Not because the distance got shorter. Not because the course got easier. But because of the countless mornings when nobody was watching, the long runs when I didn't feel like showing up, and the discipline to keep going when motivation wasn't there.

The truth is, race day doesn't build you. It reveals what you've already built.

If you're chasing a goal right now, keep going. Progress isn't always obvious while you're in the middle of it. One day you'll look back and realise the thing that once felt impossible now feels natural.

That's what consistency does.

Trust the process. Stay disciplined. Keep showing up.

Your future self is already thanking you for it. ❤️🏃‍♀️

13 months ago, Chloe walked through my doors with one goal in mind: to make it into the Police Academy.

Academically, she was already more than capable. She had the determination, intelligence, and drive. What she wanted was guidance with her fitness and someone to help her bridge the gap between where she was and where she needed to be.

When we started, a Level 2 beep test was a challenge. Push-ups were difficult. Planks felt impossible.

Fast forward to today...

Chloe is now running over Level 7 on the beep test, smashing out push-ups, and holding a plank for over 6 minutes. Her body composition has completely changed, she's built muscle all over, developed incredible endurance, and become stronger both physically and mentally.

But what makes me most proud isn't the numbers.

It's knowing that every early morning, every hard session, every moment she wanted to quit but didn't, has helped shape the person she is today.

The strength she's built has helped her tackle obstacle courses at the academy, perform demanding practical tasks like dummy drags, and develop the physical resilience needed for defensive tactics training. More importantly, it's given her confidence in herself and what she's capable of achieving.

Moments like this remind me that personal training is so much more than sets, reps, calories, or weight loss.

It's about helping people achieve things they once thought were impossible.

It's about helping someone build a future they dreamed of.

It's about watching a person transform not only physically, but mentally.

Today, Chloe isn't just fitter and stronger. She's stepping into a career where she'll serve, protect, and make a difference in the lives of others every single day.

To have played even a small part in that journey is something I'll never take for granted.

Chloe, I couldn't be more proud of you. Your consistency, discipline, and work ethic got you here. You earned every bit of this.

The academy gained a future police officer but I've had the privilege of watching an incredible young woman discover just how capable she really is.

Congratulations, Chloe. This is only the beginning 💙👮‍♀️
