Launceston City FC Welcome to the official Launceston City FC page also known as Launceston Juventus.

Established in 1958 the club has a proud history having won a number of Northern and State Championships making it the one of the most successful teams in Tasmania. Formally known as Launceston City Soccer Club, In 2013, the Club changed its name to be know as Launceston City Football Club at the same time as being granted a license to play in the statewide National Premier League competition, alo

ng with other clubs from Launceston, Hobart and Devonport. Launceston City Football Club also offers the opportunity for the younger generation to get involved in the game with teams from Under 6's to Under 16's for both boys and girls. Prospect Vale Park located next to the Australian Italian Club in Prospect is the location for all home games and training for both junior and senior teams.

This weekend we are proud to have 16 junior teams competing in the Devonport Cup, including our Opal Juventus Academy teams. ๐Ÿ™Œ

We look forward to seeing our players out there competing, learning and enjoying the game, and making the most of opportunities like this to continue their development.

School Holiday World Cup - supported by Launceston Toyota ๐Ÿ†

Round up your mates, pick your country and get ready for a day of fast-paced football these July school holidays.

Expect:

๐Ÿ‡ฏ๐Ÿ‡ตWorld Cup style tournament format
๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธPrizes up for grabs
๐Ÿด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ฅ๓ ฎ๓ ง๓ ฟPlenty of football and fun throughout the day

โฐ 10am - 2pm
๐Ÿ’ฐ $250 per team ($50 per player)

Age Groups:
๐Ÿ”น U7/8
๐Ÿ”น U9/10
๐Ÿ”น U11/12
๐Ÿ”น U13/14

Open to players from all schools and clubs.

Teams are limited to 5 players and registrations/payment must be completed as a team. We encourage teams to wear matching colours or themed kits to represent their chosen nation. ๐ŸŒ

Players should bring lunch, snacks and a drink bottle for the day.

โฐ Registrations close Friday 10th July.

At Launceston City FC, we arenโ€™t just a club -we are a family.

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to our local ambulance services, Football Tasmania personnel, match managers, and our incredible club volunteers who responded to the neck and head injury sustained by one of our youth players on Sunday.

The care, professionalism, and immediate response following the incident were outstanding, and we are deeply grateful for the support provided.

To our club community, including first responder parents, coaches, and first aid officers - thank you for your care, composure, and support during what was a very difficult situation.

We are pleased to share that our talented young player has been cleared of any serious injury. While they will no doubt be sore in the days and weeks ahead, we are thankful for a positive outcome following the incident and wish them the best for a strong recovery.

We look forward to seeing our Under 18s back out on the pitch together soon.
