🔴 QUIZ NIGHT RESCHEDULED — SEE YOU IN 2027! 🔴

The Hedland Junior Football Association has made the decision to reschedule our upcoming Quiz Night and Sponsorship Event until 2027.

While we were looking forward to bringing everyone together in October, we want to make sure this event gets the time, support and build-up it deserves.

📅 A new date will be confirmed in 2027.

The Association will review an appropriate date at the beginning of 2027, with the aim of holding the event as we lead into the new football season.

This will give us a great opportunity to kick off another year of Hedland junior footy, bring our community together and provide local businesses with the chance to get behind grassroots football through our sponsorship opportunities.

A massive thank you to everyone who has already shown interest and support. ❤️🤍

On the biggest stage of the year at Windy Ridge, our 10/11/12 Reds stood tall and delivered when it mattered most.

A massive Grand Final performance from this group, capping off an incredible 2026 season and earning the title of WPJFL PREMIERS!

From the opening bounce, the Reds brought the pressure, intensity and determination that has defined this team all year. Against a tough Dampier Sharks side on their home deck, the boys embraced the occasion and finished the job.

Our skipper Linc Vile led from the front when his team needed him most, producing a huge Grand Final performance to take home Best on Ground honours. A captain’s performance on the biggest day of the season. 👏

🏆 2026 HJFA U/13 PREMIERS — MAROON! 🏆

What. A. Grand. Final. 🔥

The biggest stage on the biggest day absolutely did not disappoint, with Maroon and Blue producing an incredible contest worthy of a Grand Final.

Maroon held the lead for the first three quarters, but Blue came flying out of the blocks in the fourth, refusing to go away and eventually locking the scores together at the final siren.

And just like that… OVERTIME! 😮‍💨🔥

With a premiership on the line, the players had to dig even deeper through two additional quarters to determine our 2026 champions.

When it was finally all over…

🏆 MAROON — 2026 HJFA U/13 PREMIERS! 🏆

A massive congratulations to the Maroon players, coaches and families on an outstanding season and a premiership they will remember for a long time.

And enormous credit to Blue. Their fightback helped produce a Grand Final that showcased exactly what junior football is all about — effort, resilience, teamwork and never giving up.

Final Score: 29-26

🏉❤️ 7/8/9 REDS FINALS ARE DONE — AND HEDLAND SHOULD BE PROUD! ❤️🏉

What an achievement for our Hedland Reds 7/8/9 teams and our football community.

This season brought a new challenge, with our teams travelling to Karratha for the first time to compete in the WPJFL competition. It meant more travel, more commitment from families and volunteers, and a completely different football experience for many of our players.

To finish the season with both Hedland Reds teams inside the Top 4 of an eight-team competition and playing finals football is an outstanding achievement.

That is something the club, our players, families and the entire Hedland community should be incredibly proud of.

Our players didn’t just represent the Reds — every time they travelled down the highway, they were representing Hedland. 🔴⚪

A massive thank you to our coaches, team managers, volunteers, parents and supporters who made the travel and the season possible.

And most importantly, congratulations to our players. Hold your heads high. You took on a new competition, earned your place amongst the top four, played finals footy and represented our town with pride.
